I usually love visiting Tara massage but have to say I was disappointed this time.I booked my appointment online for a 90 minute Thai massage, which does cost more than some of the ‘regular’ massages here. This was verbally confirmed with the receptionist prior to the commencement of the massage.The massage I received was definitely not the traditional Thai massage I have had here before - no use of assisted stretching; it seemed more like a generic relaxation massage. I did bring this up at the end, but was met with confusion and felt a bit dismissed by the receptionist, who said he would ‘check with the therapist.’ No follow up was received. The massage also started late and finished early, so you are losing at least ten minutes to this.The premises is beautiful and relaxing, the service friendly and polite and the ginger tea absolutely gorgeous - perhaps more communication between booking and therapist is needed? At the end of the day, paying $135 for a massage should be a treat, and I felt disappointed.

My children saved up to give me a voucher for a 90 min massage for my birthday. I came early, they couldn't find my voucher (despite me having the voucher and confirmation from their website) on their little pencil written notebook. So my massage started 10 min late and finished 10 min early. So 70 min for a 90 min massage. I felt cheated. The masseuse is a skinny girl who used her elbows and knees, ie sharp areas for my massage. I like my massage firm (I'm only 55kg, not fat) as I booked a deep tissue massage but if I want something sharp rubbed on my body, I can just ask my kids to use a stone instead.

Paid for 1hr, but only got 45mins. I wouldn't go back, it felt rushed and I was not relaxed. Go to big foot across the road instead!FYI they didn't give me extra time, I explained to them exactly what was happening and she was fully aware of what the request was. No confusion and only lies here, plus they weren't even ready for me when I got there. I had to wait 5 mins before entering the room which is just a curtain with a bed. I was only 5mins late and spent 30secs locking my car from their front door. Don't listen to their lies! Be honest with your customers. I should have been refunded 23.75 for the time they stole from me, instead I got a measly $5 and the worst massage ever.

It was unfortunately hard to relax because it was so cold. And the massage oil also had mint (updated: methanol) which made me feel even colder. I had to jump into the shower at home to warm up. The massage itself was nice but ruined because it was too cold

I really enjoyed the massage. The therapists knows their job well. The place is clean and relaxing. Loved the atmosphere, just like in Thailand.Highly recommended!
