TERRIBLE. NOT GLAMPING AT ALL. THIS IS THE TRENCHES!!!! STAY AWAY1. No power or water for most of our stay.2 Manager Jaco has no care for people staying at his lodge.Toilet was leaking into the shower area. UNHYGIENIC!!! Nothing done to correct this.SAVE YOUR CASH AND GO ELSEWHERE!

Positives :1. Place looked amazing just like in the pictures, food was ok2. complimentary game drive was fun, scenery was amazing and quite ,staff was friendly. Late check was organized thank youNegatives1.sheets on the bed had brown stains, and same sheets were used for all 3 days we were thereand we not changed. The blanket had a brown patch stain like.2Food was limited to to one serving ant extras you had to pay.3. Considering we booked the most expensive room (8k for 3 days) it was annoying that every basic thing was charged eg. To have breakfast Brought to the room is an extra R100,to light up fireplace wood is extra , to heat up the hottube the wood is charged. Its like having a toilet facility and expecting visitors to pay for extra rolls of tissue

Took my wife here for her birthday weekend and we really enjoyed the tented experience. From the time we arrived, it felt like we're home. It was a chilly weekend and the gas heater provided did wonder. In the morning we had the best view as we close to the dam and the animals came to drink water in the morning and in the evening we had the best view for the sunset as our tent was west facing. The game drive was also a great experience and the friendly giraffe that comes to the main boma is a great touch! The only downside was the dinner served. For R250, we could've been served a better meal than just rice, veggies and chicken.

I think this is the perfect glamping experience. The tents have all the necessities plus hot water and a hot water tub for each tent. The food is EXCELLENT. They also have a friendly giraffe hanging about which is fun. Lovely views, friendly staff.

Arrived at Lodge for day visit - booked prior. On arrival, no proper greeting, unsure of who we are and what we are doing there. Game drive was okay - thanks Frans. Spa treatment- ask us to show proof of what we are doing there, no idea what treatment, no one asked us if we want anything to drink, but they were drinking coffee and chatting on their phones while we were waiting for treatment. Will not recommended this as a day visit.Bad service - and the venue is lovely - management I think you should be informed about this

Had the worst experience. Sad that such an amazing place with beautiful views, would have the worst service we have ever experienced1. They emailed us our set dinner menu (braai and assorted salads) without requesting so expectations were raised, we confirmed and asked for them to please omit any starch option from the salads. Only to find out when being served (and starving) that we will have parboiled rice and rock hard beef stew. When we asked what happened, we were basically told it was our mistake.2. Staff not presentable and get irritated when we make a request. You just need to accept what you're given for food, no condiments3. We had small kids and the main house and bedroom was freezing, plus you get charged extras for heating. Blankets and the baby cot were dirty. Kettle kept having dirty particles when boiling water in the room.4. Breakfast was disgusting, were given overcooked omelettes, expired coffee after waiting 30 minutes asking twice for something to drink whilst staff was chilling in the kitchen. I had to ask if we could have cereal and lady seemed so annoyed. My husband and I both got sick when we got home.5. We're emailed that game drive was complimentary, but when asked were told to payThe list could go on, but I would never recommend this place to anyone, definitely not a 4 star place.
