Overall the boot tour was fun. However, our guide didn’t seem to have much enthusiasm to show us around. He told us a lot of information, but without much effort and in a very monotone manner. The wetland park itself is really nice and you will be able to see lots of hippos and get reasonably close to them. If you are lucky u might also see soon crocodile and tons of local bird life.

Shoreline Boat Safaris depart from this Jetty and my wife and I enjoyed an amazing 2 hour Hippo and Croc Boat Cruise with a very knowledgeable tour guide, Brown, who shared invaluable knowledge and experience with us. We booked through Heritage Tours & Safaris. Can recommend this tour. A wonderful all-round experience!

Exciting yet relaxing river cruise with plenty of shy Hippopotamus in sight. There are crocodiles & local birds too. Cruise has toilet & snack shop. Sunset on the cruise is spectacular!

Nice place to spend time with family. You can watch the rever bank and see the hippos moving around you. There are about 1100 hippos in this river bank and this is considered as a heritage by UNESCO.It's about 2 hrs ride and they will charge you about 280 Rands. There are 4-5 boats with capacity ranging 20-50 people. If you are lucky and going in the right time, you may get a chance to watch wild animals coming for drinking water on the banks.

Just a jetty. As a child I used to catch fish from a sandbank that used to be here, i remember watching Hippo and crocs come out onto the embankment at night. Now it's reeds and a tourism centre selling overpriced merchandise.

From this jetty you can go on very nice boat trip on the pucturesque St Lucia Estatuary. Such a trip can really be recommended as this is a great experience to truly experience the beautiful nature and environment. We saw various crocodiles, hippopotumu and birdlife on our trip. At the jetty there is also arts and crafts stalls where you can purchase nice gifts. The bathrooms are very clean and very well maintained.
