La Vita Spa - La Montagne

We went there as a group of 8 with very high expectations. Sadly its one place I will never go back there. The staff is absolutely outstanding and great at what they do but the robes , towels were rather old and discoloured. Could not take a photo in them as we had wished.The decor is rather dated and could use a bit of brightening up to make the ambiance more welcoming .What you see on the website does not match the actual anticipated expectation.

Staff were absolutely wonderful but I will never go there again. Staff need correct training on massage techniques.Room was extremely crammed especially for a couples treatment.For a 3hr pamper, our backs were sore from lying down through the entire treatment and way too long for 1 person to do everything.Never have I ever had a mani and pedi done still lying down then getting a facial and blackhead squeeze after a massage, we were tensed up all over again.Also felt rushed. Decor VERY outdated (Ballito), money not well spent.Sorry ladies, your awesome but the owner needs to make ALOT of changes.

The staff is very good with massages but owner should seriously consider renovating , redecorating and replacing the gowns and slippers. Gowns are worn out as in torn, they use recycled slippers and they weren’t the cleanest, the lockers need renovation. The place looks like some place stuck in the 60s. Never again will I book for a spa at this place, the pictures you see on website are contrary to what’s on the ground. Money wasted.Staff needs more customer service training. We were respectfully complaining about facilities and one of the ladies told us “we were being difficult “.Lunch was great.

Went there for a girls trip SPA date, it was such a horrible overall experience outside of the massage ladies.Facilities 1/10:The robes were torn, the towels had stain s on them of what looked like red and pink paint. I asked the lady who was doing pedicure to change the towels 3 times until she was also getting irritated (to which I reminded her I wasn’t going to use some red paint smudged towel and take her word for it that it’s clean? Why the spots then?). The ambiance has a 1900 vibe… which is waaayyyy too outdated for the prices they chargeReceptionist conduct 1/10:The receptionist who’s and African lady needs some customer care skills and interpersonal lessons as there was a miscommunication about the parking which we were told upon entering the hotel amd the hotel manager assisted us. The Spa receptionist came to vocally attack us saying we were being “unreasonable for nothing and we will place her in trouble”, because we raised concern about parking… she mustn’t speak to customers like that.. it’s none of our business what happens in your back office. She must just address clients concerns and make us feel welcome.Massage Experience 10/10We were massaged in pairs amd we got Debbie and Ntombi. They are absolutely FANTASTIC and do know their story and comprehend their job so so well. They were my smile keeper for the duration of the massage experience. They are the reason why you got those 2 stars ⭐️

Firstly we were made to wait more than 30min for our treatment. When we got to do the treatment it was only for 45 min instead of 1hour.... We were given old washed out towels, with holes and some ripped, we asked if we could borrow robes, we were told they do not have any.... Where as while we were waiting for our treatment, other clients were given robes to change on.... We asked if we could shower, they said we could only use those towel as they didn't have any bathroom towels.My partner and I were very disappointed and felt mistreated by their conduct. Honestly, I would not recommend their services to anyone.Maybe one day they will take their business seriously and consider these issues. When you go to a spar... It's not only about the massage but the atmosphere and service, but theirs is very poor.

A pathetic excuse for a spa!!The spa is so outdated and images online are not the same in person. The rooms smelled. They had one toilet and we had to wait for each other to finish them go in. The rooms have these hideous grey curtains which smell like something died behind them.. Rooms are also very cluttered and dark it felt more like a dungeon than a spa.. I had the worst experience ever , I AM STILL APPALLED BY WHAT I HAD TO ENDURE…The towels and robes are old and stained. I received an oversized robe and upon asking for a small I was informed the robes are one size fits all.. The receptionist needs proper training and needs to understand we are paying customers and not her mates. She lacks people skills and has zero etiquette!!The only positive thing I can mention is the massage therapist are phenomenal. I was massaged by Debbie and she was amaaazing,, great knowledge of what she’s doing and very professional too.. Such a lovely lady…Everything else was rubbish , Absolutely unacceptable for the prices they charge.. I was very disappointed. I MOST CERTAINLY WILL NEVER COME BACK but the owner can do better …

Enjoyed the massage thoroughly. Used our Entertainer App. Accommodating staff. Definitely would recommend this Spa.

Worst spa experience of my life. The facilities are run down, not worth the thousands they charge.We travelled from Johannesburg for a girls trip and one of the highlights was “the spa day” yet we couldn’t take any photos for memories because the spa gowns are worn out and discolored. They look like rags. So are their towels and beddingUpon arrival we were offered fruit juice that tastes like diluted juice concentrate.No disposable slippers they reuse dirty looking plastic ones. Very gross!!The masseuse tried their best, probably the only thing keeping that place open. THE FACILITIES ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY CHARGE. PLACE IS WAY BELOW STANDARD. Will not be visiting again

I enjoyed my spa although it was in 2014 but I still remember it. Would love to re vist the resort again I hope everything is the same as the 1st I have been...
