Bought a Whirpool washing machine from Tafelberg Furnitures, 2 years and a 5 months later machine is not draining after washing,Tafelberg furnitures Bellville service department refered me to Cape Town Appliances as machine is out of warranty and they were Whirpool dealers,Technician came out (R750 call out )replaced drain motor another R750 it worked for two days and now it is not working again,technician came out again and did not apologize coming late,he quoted me for over R5000 for a circuit board,drain motor was not broken in the first place and did not need replacement ,my emails are ignored and they told me they will call back..Since today nobody called back and my money is gone.BAD SERVICE!!!!watch out for these guys,will also NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN!!

Good working atmosphere, good colleagues as well

Today my husband and I went to Hirschs Strubens Valley because our Whirlpool Built-in Coffee Machine wasn't working.Yenziwe Mfuphi (Whirlpool Band Ambassador) was at the Whirlpool stand. We told her that our machine was not working and told her what the error message was. She admitted she couldn''t help us but would phone someone who would be able to help. She called one person who didn't answer their phone she said no problem and phoned someone else. When we explained what the error message was the guy on the other side said he was unable to help us and suggested that we log a call out so a technician could help us.Yenziwe then apologised and said she'd like to try one more thing before we leave. She then asked around for Princess's number as she wasn''t working today (apparently she works for Delongi) Princess was extremly friendly and told us what to do and during the call Yenziwe phone ran out of airtime. We felt terrible as this was her personal phone and she had used her airtime to help us sort out our problem. Needless to say Princess called us back. We then told her we would use our airtime and phoned her back. Princess told us to descale the machine and all should be good. Princess was very helpful.When we got home we did as we were told and it worked.I would like it noted that Yenziwe went out of her way to help us. She didn''t just shrug her shoulders and say I don''t know. Its great to know that there are still people out there willing to go the extra mile to help.Well done Yenziwe Mfuphi Whirlpool are luck to have you.Mandy Tooley

Hi, we bought a top of the range dishwasher,we used it about 10 times max. It stopped working,technician said motherboard needed replacing. We live in Eswatini. We were told they have anew machine for us in Joburg as long as we could send the dud machine back to them . Should we have chosen this option and paid for the transport and cross border tax we would've spent the same as purchasing a new machine. We were so disappointed with the outcome ,we will never ever purchase whirlpool again. Consequently we cut our losses and bought a top of the range Defy,brilliant product! Brand new whirlpool is laying at a dump site,no good to man or beast! Thank you Whirlpool.

NO SERVICE, NO SPARES, NO RESPONSEOn the 06 January 2016 placed a call for a filter for a fridge to be replaced as all whirlpool suppliers did not have stock. To date I have still not got the filter. When I contacted the client department, there response is they have to order the filter from overseas. Three months later still no filter I can not understand how one can sell fridges in South Africa ( Dion Wire bought in July 2015) with out having parts for the fridge. I now sit with a fridge where there is no filter for, and the water from the water dispenser trickles out.

Never buy a Whirlpool dishwasher. Only the 3 hours 35 minutes program works. I clean everything before I load the machine. So dismiss the energy efficient sales talk. It is still under guarantee. I have been trying to get service for months. Hinges and screws have rusted (supposedly made in Europe). Dinner plates don't fit. It had been used, I bought it at Metro in Centurion, who told me to deal with Whirlpool. Don't buy.

In July I requested a part for my fridge. I got a message from Whirlpool that it is not a part that is stocked in South Africa, and that it will have to be ordered. So a month has passed and I have heard nothing from Whirlpool.It seems a shame that we have to put up with inefficiency and poor customer service. At least your spares department could have kept me up to date as to the whereabouts of the part I need.After sales customer service is a vital part of any business dealing with the consumer. Consumers are your bread and butter, and need to be looked after, especially when they support your product. If the consumer does not get support in return via good after sales service, you will lose customers, and there is a lot of opposition out there to choose from.
