I’ll cut to the chase: Stage 5 Films is our favourite client (sorry other clients!). We have worked together for 10 years and through their support and belief in us as a company, we have grown faster together. Supporting local businesses, finding talented, capable crew and seeing potential in places before anyone else can, is one of their many strengths that has helped them build a loyal network that will do *anything* to be a part of one of their projects. Dylan was already an experienced and award winning producer when I first met him 12 years ago. He saw the potential in me and my business long before anyone believed a young woman could carve out a significant portion of the camera, grips and lighting rentals space in South Africa. His support helped set our trajectory… Meeting Marcelle has been an absolute gift. She is effortlessly charming, nurturing and supportive with the kind of business acumen that makes every project both a creative dream realised; and a financial win. Their oeuvre speaks for itself with pioneering South African films that have been instrumental in ushering in a new age of cinema in our country (so much so that their films are taught at our film schools). Because of their investment in our growth, genuine kindness and support, and quality of work, there is just nothing we wouldn’t do for Dylan, Marcelle and the Stage 5 Films team. We will always prioritise their jobs and drop whatever we are doing to make sure we can supply them because whatever project they take on, will always be the next “big” thing and we want to be a part of that.

I have just completed my second production with Stage 5 Films and have once again, had the most fantastic experience. The saying “Birds of a feather flock together” really rings true with this company. When a business which works in the creative field becomes a client of mine, I always enjoy the creative output but a little nervous about the state of governance and admin . Only because they apply their energies toward their creative field. With Stage 5 I get the best of both, watching an award winning team work their magic but at the same time have their ducks in a row when it comes to the financial side of the business. Stage 5 production team have a beautiful element of humanness to them, talented and hardworking. The environment is comfortable, and a beautiful sense of comradery. Injured my wrist on set, and they didn't fail to assist me in all elements involved. I felt supported, and hope to support them on their future endeavors.
