Definitely not to be recommended. Unfortunately I had to give one star to be able to write the review. Not clean. Apartment is not well maintained. Pictures shown is definitely not what you get. Curtains do not close. TV did not work. No water in the tap in the bathroom and the tap was broken. Music was very loud as the owners had quest over. Was really an unpleasant stay. This is not good advertisement for booking.com if this is the quality of their bookings.

The advertised pics of the apartment are amazing, however it seems as if this place hasn’t been maintained since the pics were taken.Below is a list of our observations:- The window in the lounge cannot be locked as the inside handle is broken, which means that someone would be able to open it from the outside- There were cracked tiles in the lounge/kitchen, and both bedrooms.- The door handles are loose and need to be tightened- There was only a few tea bags, no coffee, sugar and milk- The window in the lounge with the view is dirty/damaged- The rooms were not very spacious and all beds were against the walls- One of the toilet’s buttons was missing- The electricity meter box is directly above one of the beds- The whole apartment is in need of a deep clean. The curtains, the oven, the cutlery rack, the inside of the cupboards, the lamp cover and the couch were dirty to name a few- In an apartment for 4, there were missing items from sets. Eg: 2 regular glasses and 3 bowls- There was no towel in the bathroom. Someone would need to give up their towel as a communal towel.- There’s no DSTV, however Netflix is available.- Empty bar fridge had a horrible odour when opening it- Something as simple as the table and picture frame above the tv weren’t aligned, which could have been done in under 10 seconds.This was the first time we’ve gone on vacation and wished that we were home instead. We found 3 cockroaches in this place and it was the final straw. After one night we decided to cut our stay short at this place. Informing them that we are leaving as we were unhappy with this place, no attempts were made to understand what was wrong and what could have been better. We were willing to book another place and cut our losses. I’d encourage Hideaway to either fix all these minor issues or update the pics to reflect the current state of this place. We would not have come here had we known this. We are going through a pandemic with good hygiene being a priority, the least you could do is make sure that your apartments are safe and clean for each guest that visits.

The pictures are deceiving. Apartments are much smaller than advertised. The room we booked was not available and out of service.There were cockroaches, no hot water when needed, noTV, no toiletries.The apartment was not well maintained and the shower door was broken off. There was Lots of noise coming from the geyser all day even though we had no hot water.- The only good things about this place was that the bed was comfortable, warm blankets, good WiFi. Towels were provided.

False advertising!!! Would not recommend at all !!I booked in by the hideaway yesterday , over night stay and I was honestly disappointed.The apartment we booked was not at all as advertised.I booked in good-faith that the place was accommodating for the kids to enjoy aswell (the pool and the garden area )As those were the facilities etc advertised.Apon our arrival i was asked to make payment.As per email correspondence etc I was under the impression that it was all sorted as Ibooked online through booking.com and a credit card payment was done .The lady came back and said it's not reflecting etc and most people choose to pay at the hotel .I showed her the relevant proof etc but was still told to do a second payment.There was no pay at the hotel option advertised as the lady said , only pay in advance to secure booking . I was more than irritated at this point , I refused to go through with a second payment and was ready to just head back home.My cousin made the second payment as we were already at the facility and made all the necessary arrangements to overnight.I was then told that they will ensure that I recieve my money back on monday for the double payment etc.The apartment itself is runned down.We were unable to use the stove , no microwave, barely cutlery or plates etc .The oven was dirty inside.There was no warm water to shower .Nothing but one roll of toilet paper and a small little bit of dishwasher was provided . Not even bar of soap !We had to clean up the kitchen and bathroom in order to use it .It was not at all covid compliant .After I've checked the booking I realized that even if we were not happy with the place apon arrival we would still have to pay the total overnight price .Rip off !We made the best of the stay but it was quite miserable esp for the kids , as they were confined to small rooms and couldn't even use the pool as advertised, the garden" area was literally the front step!I've taken pictures of what the apartment actually looks like and what you have advertised on booking.com aswell as your private website!False advertising completely!!!!"

The pictures on the website was very deceiving. Not what we expected so disappointing. Wish the owners could take more pride maintaining the appearance. Tiles were broken in the lounge and was extremely dangerous. Nothing was provided not even hand soap in the bathroom. Only good thing was the view. Overall terrible!

Worst possible service.Never ever book here. Your life would be in danger when you complain. The pictures are nothing like advertised. The owner takes no responsibility and there’s several sketchy people living on that property.

We just checked in, for the amount we paid and pictures they showed are not the same as what we got. I will attach pictures of how this place is looking. No shower door, floor is breaking, you can't walk on it, stove is unusable, room is so small, what is a superior room? The world's smallest basin to brush your teethI actually want my money back. This looks like a scam.I know that my money is not refundable, but if you pay for something so terrible and the pictures are completely different, should you not refund my money, how can you do something like this to people, and we were so excited about this holiday.

When we got there, there was a huge party on the balcony with people screeching, no one answered when we ringed the bell a few times decided to call Rachel to check us in, she told us she would be right down and we proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for her to show up. The room was incredibly dirty and smelly. We had to find alternative accomodation due to the hygiene and noise pollution factors.

We booked this place for our Wedding Anniversary and Valentines week celebration. Unfortunately when we arrived we saw that the place was very run down and unkempt. Couch was filthy dirty with several stains, wall unit had wooden pulling away exposed to who knows what and the stove in the kitchenette had only 2 knobs on it. Needless to say we were not even going to risk sleeping in the beds!! We did our booking on BOOKING.COM and I seriously think the company should ban this listing from their site! Our plans were dashed and at considerable expense we had to then find alternative arrangements. Hideaway should be completely avoided and I wouldn't recommend booking.com either because after all the negative reviews they should have removed this listing ages ago.(BYTW we only saw the reviews after we had committed to our booking).

We were here for one hour before we decided to go home. We couldn't sleep here for one night. The property is badly maintained, things are falling apart inside the apartments and outside. Even though it was clean; it can only be cleaned to a point, since cleaning won't help what's really wrong here. No upkeep of the property whatsoever. Nothing is like the pictures at all. Rooms very small. Not enough parking for more than 2 cars. The only thing that was good is the view. Something needs to be done. Thanks for wasting our money!!
