Very clean store some of the best variety in the deli that aliwal north has. If you love smoked chicken be sure to visit them

Manager is rude, don't know his name but it is an old guy.There is almost never food for lunch, even if you go early.I have bought so many sour puddings there, I have lost count.Other staff is always helpful and friendly.

Management of this store needs to do something. I stand on the queue hour waiting to enter and the queue to pay. We understand that they is covid but cashier were very slowly.

Went there for cakes. The staff was released earlier due to oven failures. The staff left to serve customers didn't even know the prices. Finally when i got the cake, it was as hard as a rock. Terrible service;The shop itself looks like a warehouse. There's no life in it. I will never go there again.

I have been there 3 times after another to find that your merchandisers is or costing your shop money or they are benefiting your profit / turnover.For an item that cost R 2.50, they charge me R 520.00. I cannot afford to buy my monthly groceries there. The prices on the shelf and at the till differs from R 40 up to a few hundred rand. I mean common, every time i have visited there, at least two items in my basket is overcharged than the marked price on the shelf???? Please train your staff , because someone is paying the price out there.

The service on the vehicle was good, but the courtesy vehicle, to drive to Wimpy 2 km away, they made me put R70.00 s fuel inn. They will never see me again.

Great selection of goods.I find good deals on local fruit and vegetables.I see there are more vegan items in stock. Thank you!

Unfortunately last week,they were robbed at gunpoint,by a group of robbers.Luckely we ran late that morning,and the shop was already closed,when we got there.Wish them all the luck for the new year.UPDATE:Visited Aliwal SPAR on quick in and outs,since this last incident.Yesterday we yet again,had the privilege,to do our shopping at the Aliwal North SPAR.What a pleasure!It is a very neat and clean place,with wide isles,to make shopping easier and more comfortable.Like always,it felt like we were special customers,because of the friendly and helpful staff.Except for extra daily and weekly specials,on a lot of the so much needed daily necessities,for those of us,who are àlways looking out for that extra savings,the pricing on their products are in general lower than their competitors.I did quite a few reviews on different SPAR's and this is one of them.Yesterday was no different than other days, when it comes to fast,friendly and helpful staff.When we asked about products,we were treated like special customers,because they do everything they can,to assist you,or find another staff member that can.On the photo with me,is Josina the manageress.She is a very friendly and energetic,helpful lady,that goes between the isles,to attend to the customers's needs.She's also very friendly towards the rest of the staff,that in turn,rub off on us,as customers.The second photo,on the wall at the butchery dept.is their pledge to sell fresh and quality products.Eric,one of the butchers,is known to us from the time,he was a butdlcher in Burgersdorp SPAR.He is still as friendly and helpful as always and he will make sure,you get exactly what you ask for and what the best option is.Remember to ask him about the new Garlic biltong.We just lòved it.There is also a fast food" section

It's clean, spacious and easy to move around. I like buying cakes, muffins donuts etc, they are freshly baked and they are so mouth watering, I can't leave town without check-in. Lastly, Spar has a big parking lot so don't stress bout it.
