Lovely stay. Location is great. To bad about the lack of maintenance. Utencils very bad. Crockery incomplete and poor. Bathplugs short. No aircon batteries. Stove in poor condition. Bed is standing on bricks. 2 seater couch is broken. Double basin in poor condition. Overpriced for the state of the unit.

Lovely local old hotel to visit. The rooms are neat and clean- we had a lagoon facing room. There was however a slight smell of waste water around our block. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We did not use the kayaks as they were stored incorrectly and were filled with water instead of upside down. The beach access road is a nice walk but there is a shuttle from reception which can be requested. The beach was closed for swimming but it is a lovely stretch of beach to explore. Restaurant was ok but minimal options for meat free diets. The breakfast buffet was limited and if you didn't eat eggs you had very little to eat for breakfast. I did let them know ahead of time that I do not eat meat. There is room service available which does have a great double veg burger and pizzas. The location is amazing and the views are wonderful. The pool has a lovely set up to relax at the end of the day. Would def go back but will possibly opt to eat out for lunches/dinner.

Excellent service. Clean and neat. All our request and queries were attended to with absolute intent to please. Food was good and plentiful.Suggestions for improvement.1 consider improving your traffic calming bumps which is too aggressive and can damage your vehicle.2 The Tv is so outdated and unclear.3 wifi could be improved on.

Had lunch a short while ago. The menu is quite limited and the food was very average. But what was horrific was the what seemed to be Manager in a Chef’s outfit who chose to humiliate his staff in public, shouting and scolding them in full view of patrons and then pranced around in the garden smoking. As if this was not enough he then chose to have another meeting with some other staff and ranted and raved in earshot of us patrons. Totally unprofessional and his anger was tasted in the somewhat tasteless fish and chips we ordered. I certainly hope this is read by the Hotel manager and he is sent on some leadership training.

Staff was excellent. Food at breakfast was pathetic quality. Rotten stale muffins and scones. Bugs on food. Managers were helpful but the hotel manager was so arrogant and rude. Told me i was trying to tell him how to run his business and on his property and kept insisting that i am wrong c as no one ever complained about the breakfast there before. He said that sunny side up medium done yolks meant thay the eggs should not be cooked fully, then said that the muffins and scones are baked fresh daily although i told him to check the cameras and he verify all i said. He further stated that we live in kzn so we have to have bugs around, when i asked if he would serve food to gis kids that bugs were on he became aggressive and started arguing with me, but this is exactly the case here. I had stale and rotten scones and undercooked eggs served to my babies. He disrespects the waitress and says she has no qualification to cook to verify if the food was undercooked or rotten. I never asked for a discount or a refund, i paid full but a mere apology was so difficult for this arrogant manager . I was not even going to review but he said i can and he will reply accordingly..End of the day he is a bully and does not like to take correction. I feel sorry for the staff working under him.

Beautiful location but the hotel is in desperate need of a revamp. The beds were comfortable but the bathrooms are rather outdated. The hotel in general should be better maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful but seemed overwhelmed with the number of guests present during our December stay. The egg station at breakfast was too small to cater for the number of guests and that left guests waiting 30mins for their omlettes. For dinner, the only option was the buffet. If you wanted Ala carte you could order this via room service only. Not ideal when you have young kids and they have to sit on the bed in order to eat - in any case, it's regarded as luxury accomodation and I would have preferred to sit at a proper dining table for my meal! There is easy access to the beach, but if it rains like it did during our stay, there's not much you can do at the hotel.

The advert for this establishment is not what you get. We were put in a lagoon facing room with only overgrown bush to look at. They advertise Sea and Lagoon, but the ocean is very far away. I got very sick on the first night there after eating the buffet dinner. I had to pay R10.00 for a disposable shower cap, which I feel should be a standard item in bathrooms. There is a strong sewerage smell outside the back of the units, which is so unpleasant. The heating on the aircon did not work, so it was freezing in the room, as well as a smelly blanket in the cupboard.this establishment will no see me again.

I had high hopes for this place but was rather disappointed after our 3-day stay. The website and images are quite misleading. The staff were very friendly and the views are good too on a sunny day but that's about it.*very important*There is a huge moisture/dampness issue in the rooms which left my wife and toddlers coughing for days after our stay. Furthermore, the room, bathroom and toilet were not very well-maintained.On arrival, there were not enough towels in our room. No milk in the fridge or milk pods for coffee/tea that you would normally receive at any other hotel. It rained during our stay so we were indoors for most of the time. What made this worse is that the TVs don't have DSTV or any channels worth watching.Upon booking, the room was supposed to have WIFI access but this didn't work the entire 3-day period with us calling numerous times to find out what the issue was and none of the staff knowing why the internet was down or even who the ISP was to log a fault with. The food was rather disappointing too. Stale rolls and muffins at breakfast. Food off the à la carte menu was subpar - overcooked and very oily.My biggest mistake was not checking out the reviews here before booking.Hope this helps someone else.

What an enjoyable hotel getaway for the family. The highlights has to be the most beautiful view of the ocean and estuary. Not to mention the service from the staff. The hotel rooms are spacious and come with a bath tub and shower, it also has a generous balcony that you can sit and take in the stunning views whilst enjoying the peace and quiet. The one service that they offer that is also a huge plus is the child care facility and play room. For me that's a huge plus as you get to be on holiday whilst knowing that your child is also having a great time. The hotel also offers kayaking and paddle boarding at an additional cost. The only thing that needs improvement on i would say is the wifi as it tends to loose signal. Overall this is a great place to kick back and relax and enjoy the outdoors and tranquility.
