Very beautiful. Not to extreme. Can bring your dog with on this hike. Did a sunset & full moon hike. Highly recommended.

Reward VS Difficulty is off the charts! The hike is a good distance for a leisurely 3-3.5 hour hike with almost no technical or difficult sections. The views are some of the best I’ve seen on any hike! Even whenever compared with Lions Head or Table mountain, it shows great views of the ocean and nearby mountains. The markings are nonexistent, but not very necessary as the path is easy to follow.

The most beautiful trail that we have ever done. It took about 2 hours to the peak and the views was breathtaking! I highly recommend this trail.

A hidden gem on the Cape Hiking Scene. An easy to moderate out and back trial that takes you uphill to. The top of Chapman's Peak. The views are surreal as the natural surroundings provide a 360 degree feast for the eyes. Kid friendly and dogs are also allowed on a leash.

Loved this hike. Awesome little 5-6km mission to get you going again after a long time. Incredible views of hout bay and false bay side of the peninsula at the top. Difficulty level would be beginner-intermediate for me. The trail is dog-friendly, and there are security staff at the parking. Once you get to the top, the summit is a little bit tricky to get up to from most sides. The south/south east side of the summit is the easiest way up. It is likely that there will be a chilly wind up there, so make sure to pack a windbreaker or jacket.

Chapman's Peak Hiking Trail - Start Point
Great hike with lovely views of Hout Bay. I would say it is on the lower end of the moderate scale in terms of difficulty. Lots of foot traffic when we went - runners, hikers and dogs. You walk past one or two big streams (winter). Not much shade so I imagine it is boiling to do in the summer. Took us 4 hrs up and down with lots of stops.

Chapman's Peak Hiking Trail - Start Point
The 7km round trip is fairly challenging in the beginning and the end of the trail. Path is easy and clear, lots of rocks and not much slippery sand.Views are tremendous and well worth the trek to get up there.
