De Zeekoe | Self Catering, Bed & Breakfast Oudtshoorn Accommodation

Very rural. Staff very friendly. Food gorgeous. During the day really tranquil. However, part of the beauty of it is that its on a farm but Unfortunately a generator kicked in at 06:10 every morning and woke us up.

Superb location in the small karoo for a long or short stay. Would happily go and stay again.

Wonderful secluded high quality accommodation, attentive staff and an excellent restaurant. Would have liked to stay longer.

The place itself is really nice. The rooms are decent and beds comfortable. There is a reason I'm giving a 1 star review. Myself and a group of friends did a 2 night stay here. Now generally when you stay away from home, you are paying for an experience. After the first night the rooms were cleaned but I had to call cleaning staff back as there were still pieces of chips on the floor. They seemed to have moped the floor but somehow missed this. The final reason for this 1 star is this..... before checking out we headed to breakfast. My order was made and came out wrong. I then asked for another. After waiting a few minutes in a pretty much empty restaurant, I mentioned to the waitress that we were on a tight schedule. She brings the food out and once again it's not correct. I then tell her it's incorrect. Her response to me was ,and I quote it's not my problem" .... Maybe the place should focus on getting staff who actually want to be there. This for me is unacceptable and to not have any manager confront the situation

We were staying at the De Zeekoe Guest Farm for two nights. The room (actually it is more a lovely cottage) is beautiful, very big with a great view into the countryside and a very big bathroom with an additional outdoor shower. Beside the absolutely perfect rooms the staff is even better, they are so friendly and helpful. The whole area of the Guest Farm is great, very calm in the midle of a beautiful countryside but still not far (7 Minutes) away from the city with good restaurants. We can really recommend the De Zeekoe Guest Farm and would come back. Thank you and the team for everything.

We spent 3 nights at De Zeekoe with family and friends. The location is divine and you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets from there. The outdoor area is beautiful with a nice pool, relaxing area and even a playground for kids. The rooms have everything what you need in a rustic style. The attractions of the area are within a reasonable distance.

We just got back yesterday from our stay during the Easter weekend and it was amazing! Attention to detail and service. We will definitely be back! and as a person in the travel industry, I would definitely sell this property to my clients. This property has thought of everything to make every minute enjoyable for their clients during their stay. They even provide bicycles free of charge for you to explore the farm and surrounds! I spent one night at De Zeekoe. Our room was lovely. King bed, sofa, plenty of storage space for luggage and still enough space for two people to move around without getting in each other's way. A small deck to enjoy the silence of the bush. The bathroom was large and clean.The grounds are beautiful with a pool and plenty of deck chairs. There is also a play area for children.The staff were friendly and assisted myself and my wife when we returned after the Breakfast had finished due to our Meerkat experience running over time. They reopened the kitchen for us and allowed us extra time to check out.Thanks for a great time.

Great food, pool, view of savanna and animals. Stellar sunset. Stay here for at least 2 days
