This is the most horrible school ever! My son who is 5 years old attended this school for 3 months. Each month there was a problem. Firstly in this 3 months there was 3 different teachers who taught his class. The teachers assistant who isnt even qualified was more their teacher than anything elseShe used to ask the 5 year olds at 8am if they would like lunch for the day, kids at that age doesn't even know that if they say no at that point won't be offered food come 1pm. I always thought my son just didn't want their food, so I would pack house food anyway. Eventually I found out what she was doing. The principal of the school did not even apologise for the situation. Then, coming to the principal! This lady is so over her educational toys that the kids could not even play with it. She had it locked up in a store room and the kids used to play with bottle caps everyday, to point where my son used to ask me to keep the bottle caps for him to take to school. The principal actually told me, she's scared the teachers and kids are going to lose the toys therefore they cannot play with it.

In February 2022, I moved from my residence in Brackenfell where my daughter attended Splendid Kids (Brackenfell). I then enrolled my daughter in Splendid Kids Parow, where we moved to. The first week went fine but by the second week the poor management started to expose itself. Due to the play park that had not been maintained during Covid, the children couldn't play in the park outside and had to sit in class the entire day in summer. They were asked at 8am if they would eat the school lunch that day, and obviously my 5 year old said no, and then they would not give her lunch, even though they indicated in her book that she had eaten the schools food every day. This went on for a few weeks until I confronted the principal who was probably the most challenging aspect of the school. My daughter also complained that they only get bottle caps to play with. When i very tearfully confronted the principal about this, she took me to a room filled with new toys saying that she cannot give it to the kids lest it gets lost. Needless to say that I took my child out of that school after 5 weeks of trying and requested that she be moved back to the Brackenfell Splendid Kids, where things were run so much better. The principal refused to grant us permission for my daughter to go back to the Brackenfell school and said that she either stays in Parow where we were unhappy or she finds another school. I did just that as there was no way that I was going to allow my daughter to stay under her care.
