I recently purchased goods from Checkers when I was overcharged. I returned to the store and was given a refund, but not the full amount. I had to go back again to get the correct amount. No apology, a very begrudging attitude. Check your till slips!The staff have such an attitude it is difficult to find someone to help you they are too busy talking to each other.

Changes at Checkers over the past few years have been phenomenal. Easily surpass Woolies now as my favourite supermarket. Massive upgrade in variety and quality especially with vegan options. And Sixty60 delivery service is a winner too

This store is well managed, well stocked and always clean and tidy. The staff are friendly yet unobtrusive. Happy to help but never in the way. Queues are also only too long during peak of peak times. Extra 'card payment only' tills are opened as soon as other queues are long to help with the flow of customers. Enough parking spots and friendly car guards. If you live in the area, choosing this store to do your grocery shopping is a no brainer!

Staff very unfriendly and take their time serving you. I bought doughnuts and they were stale and their giant chocolate chip cookies were so hard you could not bite them. Such a pity as this store could do so much better

We love our local Checkers. The Store is bright, spotless, well organized and has everything we need, unfortunately, except a MediRite. Checkers operates during loadshedding! Staff are friendly and helpful to the point that they will run after you if you've left something behind!! Well done guys! It is absolutely what we needed in this area!

Very neat, clean supermarket. Friendly staff. I found my items easily. Meat fridges were clean and the quality of their meat was excellent. Definitely the place to go to, to do your shopping.

Not for the first time, the special offer was not automatically applied at the till. Today it was the Nescafé Gold Cappuccino. It was advertised as two for R99.00 but sadly we only noticed when we got all the way home that we had been charged R74.99 for each of the two we bought. Warning to other shoppers (and myself) always check at the cashier. But really that shouldn't be necessary. As a pensioner I cannot afford to be paying more than I should be, and also cannot afford to drive back to argue my case. Management can feel free to contact me about arranging a refund.

With the exception of ONE till operator, staff super unfriendly. One can stand for 15 minutes at the deli counter and STILL be ignored by the staff.

Has everything one needs from a grocery store. The queuing system could be improved, especially at the quick checkout tellers. Good bakery, butchery and hot foods. The managerial staff could be slightly friendlier but all round good experience shopping.
