De Zalze Golf Club

What an amazing golf course. The service was especially good from ALL the people there and no matter who you are they made you feel special. What a lovely, challenging 18 holes. Will come here again anytime and will 100% recommend visiting here.

Had dinner at clubhouse. Lovely atmosphere, very busy, but very slow service. It was however pleasant experience.

On arrival our golf gear got pick up by friendly staff. They put ice in cooler box with 2 bottles of water. They proshop staff were late and we tee off without paying. After we play 9 holes, we did pay. Only 1 staff member busy helping clients and the rest busy rearranging the shop. At halfway house there were not alot to choice from. We ate an cold sandwich. The golf course is beautiful and we did enjoy it.

I was so impressed with the all round eye for detail. The legends on each hole describing what the hole looks like, the beautiful tended gardens, the ice cold wet towel handed to me at the half way house and the pure pleasure of cold beers and dinner at the end of the round, sitting on the terrace as the sun went down. Magic.

A windy wet day but still a great day on a beautiful course. Staff were helpful and food was great.

De Zalze is a stunning course that winds its way through the vineyards & white-faced houses of the estate. There are times where you forget you're on the out-skirts of Stellenbosch, sometimes getting lost in the beauty of the course.The clubhouse alongside the incredible course, is a standout feature for me. The change rooms are neat & tidy and are always freshly stocked with towels and amenities that you may need before & after your round.The views from the halfway house make it hard to start your back 9 but coming back at the end of your round to watch the sunset across the surrounding vineyards make it all the more possible.The course is neatly prepared with tee boxes cut finely, greens well kept and general course condition kept in great shape. The competition for great courses in the greater Cape Town & Western Cape region is stiff and it takes a lot to be amongst the best and as much as I'd like to put this club up amongst the Top 3-5, their prices for me simply take it out of the conversation. It is a fantastic course across all spheres but I along with others I have spoken to believe the course is overpriced and I think that hurts them when you compare it to the likes of Erinvale/Hermanus etc.Still a lovely experience and one that I would come back to but maybe not as often as I would like.

The staff at the gate was not that friendly, but everyone and everything beyond is 5 star. Love to come back!

De Zalza Golf Club is one of the great ones. On a typical perfect day in Stellenbosch the course is magnificent. After a round of golf the club restaurant is a treat to look forward to. The food is always of a high standard and the wine well chilled, just the way I like it.
