Wow, amazing food. Had the Crayfish Curry (Hot) and it has so much flavor and was just the right amount. Tried the butter Naan instead of rice and wasn't disappointed, the Naan was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff and manager are very friendly and efficient.Definitely visit the Taj Mahal again soon..Russel is an amazing host, thank you to everyone.

The decor in this place is rather disappointing. Needs a bit of tender loving care. Got a lamb curry which was truly awesome. Best curry I've tasted yet but the naan bread is rather dry and off-putting.

We walk in and immediately we are welcomed by the owner whose Indian food has fed the Houtbay community and surrounding areas for the past 12 years. The service is slower than expected but the food is amazing. Make sure to book in advance as the do get extremely busy from about 3pm to 8pm. And do engage with the owner on the Indian and Pakistani culture and history, he loves mingling with the Guests. Try the samosas and an Indian type of chilli bite made with potato d onions and spices and fried to perfection.Parking could be tricky on a weekend.

Was very disappointed in the service. My son brought us to Taj Mahal for my husband's 57th bday and was disappointed in he service and the food. My husband's food was fine. But my daughter inlaw and son ordered butter chicken and Tikka chicken. And what they got served was tomato food and tomato smoortjie. Not nice. We ordered two patio s of chips but didn't received it bit was billed for one portion of chips. The waiter and service was terrible. Never going there again

I ordered keema mutter as a take away, among other things which weren't very good eitger. Was looking forward to the lovely taste of lamb, but they are clearly using beef mince. Problem for me, sure, it was in the lamb section of the menu, and I don't like beef. Imagine if I were a Hindu! Like feeding pork to a Muslim. Outrageous. Simply. Outrageous.

Celebrated my Moms 80th at TajMahal. First time for us and we were pleasantly surprised. Food was good and the host excellent. Thank you for making my Moms 80th memorable!

The place is in serious need of TLC. Extremely tatty. Toilet out of order, no toilet paper.Poor location. Definitely not recommended.

As a vegetarian, Indian cuisine is normally a safe option. This was simply terrible.I ordered what I would normally get: Dal Makhani, Paneer Masala and Paneer Mutter Masala. It was inedible! The Makhani was sour and the flavours in the Masala completely unbalanced.

Taj Mahal is by far the BEST quality food I’ve had the pleasure of eating in a long time! Every time we order from Taj Mahal, not only is the service friendly, professional, and efficient, but delivered at an exceptional standard - always super fresh, always wonderfully tasty, and the flavours are authentic! To be frank, anyone who disagrees with this, and gives less than 5 stars, needs to have their tastebuds checked :-) I have tasted many, many curries in my lifetime - coming from a mixed-race & multicultural background - and Taj Mahal is definitively my favourite. In fact, whenever we order their superb meals, I ultimately land up eating significantly more than my tummy has space for; my hubby knows full well that there is nothing left over when it gets to Taj Mahal - that’s how great it is! Irresistible is an understatement. Thank you Mr. Khan and your team!
