Simbavati Fynbos on Sea

We had such a delicious Christmas Lunch here served family style with platters on each table. Great idea. Service was superb and the view incredible. Will most definitely go again.

Overwhelming! A great cottage with all you need and a beautiful view from all rooms. The staff was so kind and caring while you could have a good laugh with them too. We took a couple of trips with Keith (the ranger) which were very informative. Highly recommendable!

I have been coming to the Sedgefield/Wilderness area for the last 20 years. Many years ago, I would have flown my paraglider from Gericke's Point. I happened to come up to see the new paragliding takeoff and learned about the Simbavati Lodge. Although I had been up to the top many times, I had no idea how beautiful the views were from the lodge. As I was not happy with my current lodging I enquired and was able to secure a booking for two nights. Chef Anthony was amazing with my food allergies and each morning, he had something just for me that was Gluten Free. I went with the chef's creation each evening and was NOT disappointed, Chef Anthony is very creative and everything was delicious. Bee was my server and energetic and super sweet. After the views, my favorite activity was the tour of the Fynbos led by Lanita. It was one of my best afternoons in my two week SA trip. Lanita is a wealth of information and she even recommended a few of her favorite books about the fynbos. The management was very welcoming and the suite I had was stunning. My last night I walked out to the pool after dinner to find Zebras looking back at me!Thank you for the lovely stay, I can't wait to come back with the family.

Excellent staf, location and accommodation.A place where they make you feel home, the views are beautifully as are the rooms where you stay. In combination with the 5 star food and whines a Excellent stay is guaranteed.Lots of things to do and the staff will arrange it for you, from paragliding, diving with crocs, deepseafishing, sundowners even on a catamaran and horseriding, call it they help you. One of the best places in South Africa so far

Absolutely a memorable experience and enjoyed our stay tremendously. Staff went out of there way to make you feel at home. Lovely views and well appointed rooms. The food was excellent. The mountain bike trails were challenging (if you not used to ride in sand). But it was great fun! All in all a fantastic stay!

Take a beautiful walk among the buck and zebra and enjoy bird spotting. Spectacular views of the lagoon and the sea. Mind your head for the paragliders taking off or landing! Pizzas highly recommended, but remember this is a Slow Town.

What a great experience, beautiful location, wonderful staff, very attentive, chef is amazing, great hikes, wildlife is close and the ranger Keith is guiding you to some nice spots, including beach walk.We can recommend this beautiful spot

We loved our stayed at Simbavati Fynbos. The food was A*, the staff were all super friendly and helpful and the location is superb. We enjoyed a 10k hike in the grounds and a beautiful beach is just a 10 min drive away. A wonderful stay on the Garden Route. Highly recommend!

Decent hotel that tries to hard but is missing heart. Don’t get me wrong: friendly, helpful staff but rooms are like in a middle class hotel chain. Would not recommend for it‘s value.
