Ryobi Service Centre - Cape Town

Very poor repair service standards.I took my fairly new Ryobi leaf blower in for repair last week. I received an sms with reference number. I tried to call yesterday for an update for a quote but after 8 minutes holding on I couldnt tolerate the delays. I sent and sms requesting an update and advising non responsiveness to phones. Of course I did not get a reply! Today I managed to get someone, young male, very casually advising it takes 2 weeks or more to get a quote! Who knows how long it will take for the repair? Never buy Ryobi is my recommendation

I would strongly advise against buying Ryobi products. This service centre is the most unprofessional you could ever find. Extremely poor service, rude workers and poor management. Ryobi has got to get rid of these people. There are turning away customers from Ryobi products.

Sandile! Thank you my man. This gentleman doesn't only know his products, he is kind patient and a super salesman. Went in with a defective saw and chain saw. Sandile tried his best to fix this machine with affordable 2nd hand parts but still couldn't get it to work safely. He then traded my old machine in and gave me discount on a brand new one. If I had go replace the shift and chain of my old chainsaw , I was R200 short of a new machine...easy decision. But listening to the other salesman (bit loud gray-hair gentleman), helping two ladies with a list of requirements from the hubby , it seems that Ryobi has an amazing policy of heling people. This guy too was extremely patient with. I saw him give them an old obsolete replacement part for free! I love my Ryobies even more. With such super back up and after sale service, I ambeven more chuffed with my decision. Thanks again Sandile.

Their online shopping experience is dismal. If you can, rather buy in-store or be prepared to wait a ridiculously long time. I ordered one item from them directly and it only shipped from their warehouse after 9 days!?

Poor customer service. I would not advise to buy any Ryobi products. Their after hour service are pathetic. I am waiting a month to get a price on a service for a weedeater and lawnmower.Going to go fetch items and take it to Durbanville lawnmower. Within a week price and service given. Hold on for 10 minutes just to get confirmation if the item was looked at. Back office and front office not even aligned. What a waste of time.Tsk Tsk. Just close your doors, no management.

I bought a Ryobi 1200w last year for my PC at home and my tv and worked perfectly wonderful until it died suddenly while using it during loadshedding. I had it for 5 months new. I took it back to Ryobi and after an inspection they discovered that it's a factory fault and they replaced it with a brand new one. Excellent service from Ryobi Montague Gardens.

Thank you Ryobi capeTown. Top notch, I gave them a call after Builders warehouse gave me the run around and had the story wrong. They sorted everything out for me and I get a whole new kit tomorrow. So excited. Thanks ryobi. If you need a brand embassodor , my company would be honored.

Took my electric chainsaw in because the chain kept coming loose. Ten days later, I received a status report stating that the machine requires a new chain, a part for regulating the tension, and one other part. The report also stated that it is economical to do the repairs, which would cost R1,080). How is this economical for a machine that I bought for less than R1,100, AND used less than five times?I'm waiting on Ryobi Service Centre in Montague Gardens to review their ridiculous quotation. If they aren't prepared to do the repairs at a fair price, then I'll collect my machine.

Very disappointed with the service i received from Ryobi Cape Town branch i ordered a blade bolt for my Ryobi mitre saw cms-210a three weeks ago the stock still hasn't arrived.I called the Roybi Joburg office they have stock of the Ryobi blade bolt part number cms 210a - 099 i arranged with my company rep to collect it for me and courier it down absolutely pathetic.
