It's a far drive but a great opportunity for you to do a good deed for the day. There's a well marked walking trail with water points which loops 2-3km - get your step count in whilst walking one of their rescue dogs! Also take some carrots with you to feed the donkeys, they're tame & come really close! I've been twice already and sometimes the staff can be quite rude - watch out for the cat lady!

Wonderful people with a passion. From the security guard in the parking area to staff that assisted us was a great experience! Facility is super neat and tidy and very clean. All animals are well cared for.

They are hasty to have you adopt, but quick to become downright nasty & rude if things do not work out on the adoption, especially as the failure was on their part.Though their cause might be good, their management and client relations need work on how to grow relationships and not destroy them. How to have integrity and be consistent in communication.They are very shortsighted, very quick to take your money and leave you with a bad experience. STAY AWAY. Especially if the dog has previous trauma, they are incredibly aggressive when startled, DANGEROUS!!! And the way the handler handled the dog caused further trauma. Find somewhere else to adopt from.

I was at Woodrock animal shelter today, hoping to adopt a cat. I have this believe the animal adopts it's owner and not the other way around. As I walked through I had this cat following me everywhere, so I decided to fill in the paperwork. As I started I told the cat was bonded to another and I had to take both. This is not what I had envisioned.The reason for 3 stars is for the cleanliness of the shelter. It was really a disappointment not to adopt the cat. Therefore I would look somewhere else.

Had the best time volunteering for Woodrock last Sunday. Woodrock is the most beautifully looked after animal rescue sanctuary I've ever seen in my life! The love for animals absolutely resonates as soon as you walk through the gates.Me and my family will be making out time available to you regularly!I'm also pledging a couple of kennels soon!Thank you for all you do to take care of all the different rescues! You will be blessed!

We were there for potential adoption but were disqualified in principle as we mentioned that out big dogs are there for our security. We were looking for a small doggie who could befriend our small doggie who's sister passed away. They both slept inside with us on our bed.A site visit was promised, twice - We never heard from Woodrock again! Disrespectful I'd say!Sadness is that we are most probably such a good prospect to adopt now and even in the future. We treat our dogs as royalty in our home but Woodrock had the arrogance based on one statement to disqualify us as potential adopting parents. What? Ridiculous.My impression of Woodrock is VERY disturbing and unpleasant! Certainly wont ever hear a good word about Woodrock from me.
