The consultant was very informative. I like that they use the number system and divide people in respective lines to allow the process to run smoothly. however there's no user friendly system for the deaf or hard of hearing. I think they can take up on that challenge and improve on it especially for efiling purposes where resetting password does not always require call centre contact.

Terrible service. People have been standing outside since 8:30am it is now almost 12pm and nobody has gone in as yet.Almost like there's only 1 person working here..They need to employ more staff then people won't have to wait so long.

Look, one cannot account for the queue outside the door, appointment or no appointment. But, a kind lady from reception went down the long queue, and asked questions and actually listened, sorting people into categories, and checking you were prepared. A real human! Eventually I got to the security, and they were nice. It is human nature for people to reciprocate your attitude, so just be nice to the guards, and they will return the nicety. Rude people are 'managed' by them - that's their job right?! (are you tracking me here, that's 2 out of 2 so far.) They allowed people through in small batches for control and order, and at reception you were ushered in with a service number in your hand. The building inside was very clean, and didn't feel like a government building. I sat down and played musical chairs in the rows of smooth stainless steel benches, as a very proficient team of consultants serviced the queue. They actually looked happy, and all looked professional. There is an overhead screen and a speaker system that announces your number and consultant kiosk number. It went way quicker than I thought. The cherry on the top was that my consultant was a real stellar human being. Professional, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Amazing actually, really not what I was expecting. Keep in mind these consultants have to service very 'needy' people all day long. All in all it was a 5-star experience which raised my image of SARS. You are going to spend 2 to 3 hours of your day here, just account for it. But they will get your job done for you. Well done guys!

Service is not consistent, have had great service however the guards at the door need more training.They are plain rude a d impatient and definitely don't represent the brand as well as they should. The officers who work in the branch are however amazing offering quick and useful service.

Waiting on phone for 1 and half hour !!! And the phone just dropped !! How can that be possible, why don’t you putt enough people in the call center to take our calls quickly !

Worse than Johannesburg central Home Affairs and that means a lot. People are treated like animals and there's no service at all. It is absolutely irresponsible to only have four staff working and forcing people to stand in very long queues. I've been queuing for two hours and there's still no assurance that I will be assisted at all today.
