Witteberg Nature Reserve
Witteberg Nature Reserve is a beautiful location, and the owner made us feel very welcome. The accommodation has everything you need, and is very comfortable, although there is no aircon so bring your own fan if it's hot! We were there in particular to see dark skies and stars, and were not disappointed, but the surroundings are stunning in the day time too.

... A place that grows on you ... Nestled in the heart of and among the Witteberge 25km away from the N1. The scenery is magnificent... the different colour schemes of the mountains and the stretched out landscapes with eye warming vegetation and a serene and quiet atmosphere. It is a a place in which to become quiet, ponder, reflect and yet have fun when done doing so. The accommodation is comfortable with a spacious open plan lounge / kitchen and cosy stoep. Most, if not all of what you require, is supplied. Frik is caring, friendly, emphatic and helpful and will make you feel at home. Give it a go!

Witteberg Nature Reserve
Very clean comfortable well equipped self-catering accommodation on a large private nature reserve. Absolute tranquillity. Beautiful scenery, fynbos, walks and stunning night skies. Stretch of gravel road from the N1 to reach the reserve is in good condition and suitable for a normal sedan. The host is most hospitable and is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the property as well as the fauna and flora. Plan your grocery packing well as there is no corner shop if you forget something. Suggest a stay of 2 nights or longer to really absorb the peace and beauty. 4X4 Routes and camping also available.

Witteberg Nature Reserve
On our drive down from joburg we decided to take a stop past this gem. I can honestly say that it was a stay of a lifetime. The sheer beauty of the surroundings is breathtaking. It is tranquil,pet friendly and the owner Frik is incredibly accommodating. We are certainly heading back at the next opportunity.
