I had their French toast, and man I’ve never thought savoury and sweet work well together. Delicious at reasonable prices, I am definitely going back.

Situated in the Hipster precinct of Cape Town. Good Coffee, well presented affordable Halaal meals. Breakfast was a hit. Friendly staff and well managed. An overall great experience. Off street parking may be an issue but was well worth it.

Honeybun Café & Deli
So today's restaurant I went to was Honeybun Cafe and Deli. It is situated on the lower main road of Obs. I went there for some breakfast and enjoyed their Eggs Benedict with extra bacon. As a drink I enjoyed a Chai Latte. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly. The wait time was about 20mins for the food and drink. One really cool thing and I don't know if it was just for the Chai Latte, is the inclusion of a small heart shaped biscuit with the drink, a really nice touch. Finally the manager was really accommodating when my phone did not work with one of their card machines and we had to get another machine, so thumbs up for service. All in all a good experience.

Sept 2018 - 5 starsGenerous Portions and a fantastic little spot to catch up with friends for Brunch. We had the Smashed Avo and Egg on Rye and it was gorgeously good. Service was friendly.EDITDec 2018 - 1 starI'm sad to have had to rate this place downWe arrived to a basically empty establishment. Waited 10 minutes for the waiter to come take our drinks order upon which we also ordered breakfast which only came 50min later!Hubby was happy with his full house breakfast and I went again for the Smashed Avo. I'd asked for my eggs to be scrambled which it was not. The bread was a white hot dog roll that was stale and cold. Absolutely unacceptable. At that point it was no use to complain as I was so hungry and not willing to wait another while before the correct food was sent out. The same waitress as last served us but wasn't helpful at all.

Cafe Honeybun is a great place to have a breakfast or brunch. We ordered a omelette and open sandwich for breakfast. Both meals were very well cooked and have a lot of flavour. The sandwich comes with a very refreshing salad. Overall, great quality meal and decent portion size.

Took over 30mins to prepare a wrap and nachos. Had to ask several times how long our food will be and then ended up having to take it as take away. I will never return.

Lovely meal on a cold chilly morning and great value for money. Waitress was lovely. Nice way to say bye to Observatory.
