A getaway not too far from the heart of Joburg.You can enjoy the stunning views and lush greenery heading towards Hartebeespoort and Magaliesburg. There is a zip line and jungle gym for the little ones. There are a beautiful craft, book and antique stalls (thanks Nancy and Grace for your warmth at the stalls) and an art gallery featuring local scenery and talent. There is a little food shop with homemade industry sweets and food and a restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating.The views are worth coming back for and unwinding from the bustling city life.

I have been going to this restaurant for 20 years with my children and husband when they were little and now as they are grown. Always a favorite family and friends treat. The pies are perfect every time. The seating area has improved and I am happy to recommend and refer. Was pleasantly surprised at the upgrade of The Farmstall, it’s really lovely, albeit prices are high. The service from the waitress staff is slow and they are not up to speed. They have always had a raft of ducks which wonder freely and add to the ambiance of the little restaurant.Demi

Ordered the Rump Espetada (medium) what I got was over cooked dry pieces of meat that I don't even think were seasoned. Thinking about it now should have sent it straight back to the kitchen and had a chicken pie......

A child friendly beautiful little place where you find amazing food, pies and desserts. Very friendly staff will make sure that you are looked after very well. I had pie while my friend had ultimate chicken strips and both meals were delicious and tasty. There is a shop at the entrance of the restaurant where you can buy fresh bread and pies, fruits, honey and other things. The pond at the restaurant makes the place homely, relaxing and implements a holiday feeling. Overall it is very worthwhile to visit the place, a little treasure outside of Johannesburg.

It was ok the service was lacking got served cold pies. They gladly assisted to microwave them up, its just a pity as the prices are rather high for a basic pie at the end of the day with some chips. I will try again but the lockdown has an effect as expected.

A lovely venue with great shops and stalls to enjoy while there. Went on Saturday and again on Tuesday. A bit disappointed in the fact that there weren't all the pies available to us that were listed on the menu. One small tip... give the option to serve your pies with gravy because they are a bit dry without. But filled with delicious meat and served with gorgeous, crispy chips.

We always pop in to Maggies on our way to Sun City and also on our way back. The chicken pies are delicious. Its a very neat farm stall and a place to relax and have a bite. Their sweet baked delicacies are made of pure butter.
