LAB WEST FILM

Can't believe I haven't been getting my film developed here before now. The online ordering system and after hours drop box is perfect, they're well-priced, have a 5-day turnaround (have always waited at least two weeks elsewhere) and the quality of the scans is outstanding. Highly recommend.

Superb film/ print specialists in Northbridge. Best quality & service, super friendly & easy to deal with. We take all our family prints to these guys, wouldn't go anywhere else. Highest recommendation!

I don't like writing this review, I'm sure people working there are lovely, but unfortunately I had the worst experience.It took three weeks for them to develop and scan my one roll of colourful film. As they specialise in film development and because of so many great reviews I didn't mind the wait because I was sure the photos will turn out beautiful. When I received the scans I couldn't believe my eyes. The whole roll is ruined. Every single shot is either under or over exposed and the quality is terribly low. It looks like the photos taken with a cheap disposable camera. For comparison I'll add three photos I received from the Lab West and last three from my last few rolls shot on the same camera developed and scanned in another place.I contacted the staff and they offered to send me back the film so I can scan it someplace else but I think the damage to the roll is already done.So sad as I was very excited for these pictures from my first few weeks of travelling in Australia. I really hiope it was just me and they do a better job for other people.

I can't believe Perth finally has a genuine competitor in professional film development. Had a kodak 400 processed in under 24 hours last week, and alongside the amazing customer service, knowledgeable stuff, and genuine feel good experience, I also received high quality digital scans that have been delivered to perfection! This place is my new development option. Very competitive prices too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Lab West Film is finally a proper film developing store in Perth and a store I can trust! Highly highly recommend to anyone.I just had my film developed and thrilled with the results. If you dont understand, you're paying for the quality your film comes back to you. For the first time every single frame had no scatches and no dust I just couldnt beleive it! This saves me a tonne of time not having to edit through my photos for hours just removing scratches.I've been through a bunch of places to develop film and they have all been iffy quality and harder to get to. Mainly Camera House which is just horrible and Digidirect which is good yet scratches still happen. Even watching them handle the film they just dont care. But so far from this one roll it seems to be great stuff from Lab West Film.I prefer my film uncut because I like to scan and store it my self, they were happy to do that, they even put it in a nice clean bag and labeled it even with film type written which is useful as I've found times unable to tell what type my film is.Location of the store is good and not too far north, about a 10 minute walk from the train station, located in a nice little cottage. It's very peaceful and has a nice vibe. The staff are very chill and polite. They offer lots of high quality films, even ECN2 film and they develop it as well which is the first I've heard here in Perth which is great if you dont want to be stuck to Cinestill!Developing times vary depending on how many rolls they have in from other customers but I got my film done in a few days.Opening times are limited but they aren't bad.Overall I'd rather deal with a store like Lab West Film with limited opening times and slightly longer developing times to get my film back in perfect condition rather than have my film returned within the hour all scratched up!
