The Woodsman Bed & Breakfast
The place is beautiful and clean with friendly staff and Management. We had a great experience. If you want to see Eco caves, God's window and visit Kruger National park then this is an ideal central place to stay at!

Photos on booking site are misleading, the place is dilapidated, rooms are not as described, furniture/fixtures were hanging on by a thread.Rooms smell highly of cheap bleach which eventually makes you feel sick. Given no option but to pay to move to another room due to state of previous room (shower cubicle in the centre of the room) - room to be shared by siblings (this was not described or shown on booking site photos) - new room equally as bad. (Walls half plastered, lights hanging on wires above bed)Broached the misleading photos with the female manager who advised we would receive a refund of the difference in rooms, only for this to be retracted upon departure. Manager seems a touch too interested in her profits rather than her premises, her attitude matched this - was aggressive whilst discussing the above. It’s a shame as the other staff were lovely and tried to be accommodating with what they had to work with.Place was also incredibly noisy!! Woken in the early hours to sounds of people fighting.

We visited the restaurant because of the good reviews. unfortunately we were very disappointed. We had to wait a long time for the food, although there were less than 10 guests in the restaurant. the food was served completely cold. the steak was cooked like shoe sole. vegetables overcooked. Rarely experienced such bad food and bad service. Can't recommend it at all!!

Sabie is a beautiful location and we hoped our stay at the Woodmans would be good. We booked 2 x twin rooms but had to “upgrade” to a self catering unit because one of the rooms had a shower actually in the room with a clear door, absolutely no privacy. Not good for adult children who were sharing which meant they were forced to pay for a different room. The rooms need redecorating and certain features didn’t work like lights. My sister also rented a SC unit which had no shower door. Our first problem was that the luggage lift wasn’t working which meant we had to carry very heavy cases up stairs. We were then woken at 3am by a group of men having a party or such on the balcony for hours and for both days we stayed we were kept awake by the roar of motorbikes pulling into the car park underneath, day and night. On a positive note the staff at the woodmans were absolutely lovely, with the exception of the female owner. She promised a £30 refund of the upgrade fee to my daughter then changed her mind. Who does this? It’s dishonest. Apparently she has a reputation for being aggressive so I fully expect her “robust” reply to my review. Sabie is a beautiful location and the woodmans has the potential to be so much better. Unfortunately given our experience we wouldn’t stay there again and couldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

Not agood experiance at all. We could not excess the overnight room from the parking area, we had to walk back to the street, front of building with our luggage in the rain and thereafter up the stars which is not under roof, we and our luggage where soaking wet. The towels were not clean. To top off a bad experience the breakfast were not a breakfast at all as there where a piece of fruit, cold meat and box cereal. For the price of 990 per night one expect at least a decent breakfast. We left without having breakfast.

Went to coffee shop attached to the Big Bookshop. Most delicious chocolate cake. Bookshop has excellent range of books at good prices.

I was warmly welcomed and showed around the property on my arrival at The Woodsman. The property is centrally-located in the town of Sabie, and the Spar (grocery store), various restaurants, bars, curio shops and tourist sites are within walking distance.I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a self-catering room. The room was large, clean, and fitted with modern furnishings. A kitchenette is provided, along with a hairdryer, TV with select channels, wardrobe and Aircon. The bathroom is fitted with a shower only. The bed was very comfortable, and there is a table on the patio outside where you can enjoy the fresh air.All of the staff were very friendly, and happy to help and answer questions. There is a restaurant on site, should you decide you don't want to cook or go out anywhere else. The breakfast (included in the room room) was massive. Basics such as fruit, yoghurt and cereal are available, as well as a massive hot breakfast cooked to order.I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay.Great value for money. The only fault was an issue with the WiFi. But as I was there to get away, this did not concern me, and I forgot to bring it to the attention of the staff.
