Guardian Peak Winery & Grill

One of my favourite meals of my visit in South Africa. Ordered the butternut risotto, pear blue cheese salad and amarula panna cotta. The service and atmosphere were both great. If I’m ever back in Stellenbosch, I’ll definitely be coming back.

I took my parents to Guardian Peak for lunch, and we couldn't be happier. The meal was delicious, the staff was kind and attentive, and we received a warm welcome .

Nice place with reasonable prices. Excellent service. Went we friends, we enjoyed the wine and dinner.

This was one of our first stops for lunch on a 9 day tour of the Cape wine farms. Still one of the best stops, the service is impeccable and the food amazing. Of course the views are breathtaking.

I had booked at Guardian Peak as the feedback from friends who had been had said views are incredible and food is lovely. I went with my mother and my best friend who I haven’t seen in years, on the 15th March 2023.Gerado our server was absolutely lovely, very knowledgeable and we had good banter with him. He informed us of the wine with the Afrikaans poems - truly a great idea for gifts for overseas visitorsAnother male server served us in between who was unfriendly, even spilled wine on the table with no apology or attempt to clear it up.The food was outstanding My mom and I had the pork belly which was perfect. My friend had the burger on the recommendation of Gerado, and was not disappointed.Unfortunately there was an elderly lady with her niece there for lunch as well and she sadly took a turn and had to leave. I found the staff not really attentive to her as she sat in the sun trying to recuperate before going to the car. We went out and held the umbrella for her and walked her to her car in the shade. I feel the front of house staff should of been a little more compassionate and caring towards the lady.Despite this it was an overall good experience and I would recommend for a lovely overall experience

An absolute treat! The food was delicious and Tristan gave us great service. We enjoyed some wine tasting between courses to add to the experience. Six stars if that were possible!

We only did a wine tasting here. While it is not as pretty as many of the other wineries, the wines are good for an excellent price.

The views are amazing and the starters we had was absolutely delicious!The wine on the other hand was oky, but the service was poor and we constantly had to search for and call the waiter after sitting and waiting for the next tasting...But I would definitely return for the food.

Our second visit, this time our 23rd wedding anniversary. Tserver was Lincoln. He was amazing! Food was excellent. We had bobotie spring rolls, rump steak and Pana cotta.The most gorgeous views! Lekker wine, lekker food. Sat outside on the step just staring out at the mountains. All in all a great experience
