The room have all the necessary appliances required. Large refrigerator. The only back draw is the area at end of the town . Friendly host and helpful.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money or at that moment you don't have a lot of money. Then Swartberg Cottages is the best plays to stay. There self catering rooms are very nice and spacious. All you needs is your clothes and personal stuff. It's clean and comfortable. We had a lovely weekend there due to a funeral. The advertised pictures are the real deal. Some people wouldn't like the location which is, as you get into town....then you there. If you want to stay in a nature kind of place, then that won't do. For us it was the best. You can drive around town or go out for a glass of wine or order some good food. Hope you get the same experience we had.

We booked but did not stay. We got there after five in the afternoon and after searching the town we found it behind a really bad looking garage. on entry through a broken gate we found the rooms in the back. It looked like a scene out of Soweto. There were three taxis parked in front of the parking spaces not in them. Drying clothes was hanging from makeshift clothe lines. There were half naked men walking around with loud music playing. We phoned the girl that helped us and her response was : sorry but they payed and if you do not like it it is your problem. We payed in full beforehand and demand our money back. The answer was the same sorry not our problem. We had to find another place to sleep as it was getting dark. Luckily we found something but had to pay again. So...a night in a nice little town turned into n nightmare.

In a moment of need and urgency and on very short notice, we were received with a welcoming smile by our hostess, Elize, at our go to sanctuary in Prince Albert @ Swartberg Cottages. Comfortable and homely as always, our cottage was a main feature in my getaway weekend that turned out to be a very special family reunion weekend that was long awaited. With all the comforts needed to make your stay in the Karoo a memorable one. Thank you so much to the Swartberg Cottages team, we will be back soon!
