Makro Riversands

Absolutely disgusted at the poor service.Popped in on Saturday to buy a new phone and computer. I walked through the computer and cell phone section twice and managed to pass at least THIRTEEN staff members who were more interested in having conversations with each other than helping customers.It seems that the culture at Makro has changed to the point that customer service is non existent.While walking through the rear of the store there are pallets of stock lying around and everyone is on a go slow.It looks like the staff don’t want their jobs and would rather prefer to be on the side of the road looking for work like the 46% of the unemployed population

I ordered a laptop from this store alongside some groceries, they only delivered the groceries and confirmed that they had mistakenly not handed over the laptop to the driver and will deliver it tomorrow. I accepted this and understood as mistakes happen. Then it was not delivered the next day as the guy that made the mistake when dispatching was not around and the other guys can’t dispatch. This I understood. Now I’ve spent 2 weeks of my life calling and chasing up on when this laptop will be delivered and every single time they say it will be delivered tomorrow. Now when I get frustrated, I am told that they might not have stock?! How?! when they confirmed they had the order packed and it was just a mistake in handing over the laptop. I never expected this from Makro, I’m really upset and disappointed at the way they handle orders

Ordered a package online a week ago (+/- R500) for delivery. Was sent out to deliver on Saturday - I called the delivery guy and asked him to deliver on Monday as I was not at home. Package went back to Makro RIVERSANDS. Email - no response. Call - very little assistance. Can't track my package with the order number even though it is in their storage. I still dont have my package and the order number Makro sent to me is apparently not valid. Take a lot delivers a much better service.

The cleanest Makro I've been to. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Great shopping experience.

Tried a few times to phone the the Riverland's store, always 1st in line according to the recorded message, wait up to 20 minutes nobody answers. No joy when you phone the National Call center, always high call volumes, waiting endlessly for my call to be answered !!I gave up, well done Makro !!

I’ve been trying to call the store to find out the status of repair since yesterday and it’s just goes to a voice prompt. I called the national call center and they can’t help me because the repair was dropped off in the store.It’s a waste of fuel and time just to drive to the store to check the status of the repair.

Makro doesn't deserve a star.. I've been on hold (for the 4th time today) to get through to the switchboard for 17 minutes.I just want to collect my online order because delivering it is a problem. They are fast to take your money but don't want to help.

Always clean and the staff are so friendly. One of my favorite stores in SA but only this Marko branch. I've been to many others and they pale in comparison.

What a horrible experience today. Priority checkout was 1 person this afternoon around 3pm fairly long q. The paypoint person was as miserable as hell. No assistance with carrier bags I did unfortunately lose it and embarrassed myself. I have never known such terrible service throughout the store staff was always pleasant and was a joy to shop there. If possible will never shop there again. Actually no Makro the others are awful
