We spend 7 nights every year in the Transkei, our favourite warm welcoming and hospitable place has become Umgazana River Lodge. The venue, staff and safety aspect boxes are ticked over and over again. Thank you Benita and Kurt for making our EC experience so memorable. I recommend and give a high five to Umgazana River Lodge and see you soon, my calendar is marked off for next year.

Spent a New Years at the lodge with our family of 5. Had an amazing time. If you want to get away from it all to unwind, this is the place to be. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the scenery is beautiful.

Beautiful, peaceful and serene getaway. The staff are very friendly and well trained. The food at the restuarant is excellent. Pity we could not do Spa treatments due to time as we were having our board meeting there, but we will definitely come back

Umgazana river lodge is the next best place to Heaven in my eyes. Tranquility, beautiful, fresh and cleanBeen there for a few holidays and enjoyed every time spent there. Food is always good. Staff is polite and the place has a great vibe.

Lovely getaway. Accommodation was great and the fishing was good. The host took the time off to take us all on a short hike on the beach, this kind of hospitality is difficult to find. Thank you for making our holiday extra special.

I have never had such excellent service and commitment from a group of staff anywhere in SA! I just knew i was in good hands and that i was safe. We never had to lock our room (suite) doors even once. When i saw the view i just went quiet...i have never been in a spot with such superior location...the views are breathtaking!! Whenever i needed something, there was someone to assist me with a smile and a great attitude. A person gets there as an acquaintance, but you leave there as family. I cudn't ask for more... Wow!
