This place is all class. They do everything correctly. So much thought goes into your stay and it shows. I will miss being around camp. My stay was flawless there. They are true professionals and great human beings... Again it shows. Levi.... You are a true gentleman. And Omega turned into a brother of mine within 2 days. I'll never forget how great this safari experience was. Once in a lifetime expectations were exceeded.

We visited Ivory Wilderness for our honeymoon in April 2022 and, being our first safari experience we didn’t know what to expect. However, we have left SA with a little piece of this safari lodge in our hearts. The accommodation is outstanding (traditional and private rondavels alongside a river with all the necessary amenities) as are the attentive and responsive staff. The food was delicious with lots of varied choices but most mindblowing of all are the scenery, the incredible game drives and sightings our guide (Craig) organised for us. Craigs knowledge and passion for Klaserie is awe-inspiring, in particular his admiration for and understanding of the animals. All our sightings (to which there was lots!) were coupled with such interesting facts and we could have listened to his childhood memories and campfire stories all night!

Staying here for our second time. Such a special place. And Warren's depth of understanding of the bush and how he shares it is an extraordinary gift

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of the honeymoon and it really was the best part. Our stay was amazing! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious and there was variety. You always had 2 options for breakfast and dinner. They set up a romantic table, gave us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our marriage which was lovely. It was really cool to stay inside the reserve - during the day nyala would come to visit inside the resort ground and at night you could hear and see hyenas (outside the grounds). What really made this place was the game drives and Craig. Craig is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He loves animals but is also respectful of them. In this reserve they only allow 2 vehicles on an animal at any time which is great for the animals but all the guides are great at communicating with each other so you do not miss a great sighting! Craig kept the game drives and the bush walks exciting with his facts about nature even when there were no animals around. We saw the big 5, a cheetah and many many more animals. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A unique location with wonderful hosts to mark the start of our honeymoon. From the design of the tents, to the delicious food, to the attention to details we cherished every moment of our stay. What made it very special was our experienced guides Warren and Arnold that took us on the tracks of the animals by car and by foot and shared so much of their knowledge and took us morning and evenings. It was really exciting to spot the animals and knowing that we did not disturb them. And the top of the top was the peacefulness! A dream after coming from the big city.

My wife and I decided to go for a weekend Safari and chose a location where there were less people. We flew to Hoedspruit and had the hotel shuttle service take us to the Ivory Wilderness lodge. What an unbelievable 4 day/3 nights. Shane our guide was a walking encyclopedia and knew so much about the bush and the surroundings. He made the early mornings (and late evening) rides entertaining and interesting. He had the ability to take us off the beaten path to find the Big 5 and everything else. When we were not on a safari drive and at the hotel Agreement and the rest of her staff made sure we were taken care of throughout the day. The resort is small which was amazing as it was peaceful and quite. Orla was available to answer any questions and setup a helicopter tour for us. Seeing Blyde River Canyon and the wild animals from overhead was amazing on its own. We had an amazing experience at this resort and highly reccomend it, but suggest you check it out for yourself.

We had the most amazing long weekend at Ivory Wilderness! I have been on many guided safaris and Craig is by far the best guide I have ever known. He is so in tune with, knowledgeable of and passionate about the bush. The location along the Klaserie River is breathtaking and the game density is impressive. With some luck along with expert tracking, we saw the big five and everything in between during our 3 night stay. On top of the amazing wildlife was the wonderful hospitality. Our whole experience felt personalized as they accommodated all our special interests such as doing a trail on foot and making sure to be at a good view spot for each sunset. We even had a special birthday celebration the one night and the staff were excited to help us decorate their boma for such an occasion. The rooms were tasteful and luxurious. The food was both healthy and delicious. I wouldn't have changed a thing. It was great value for money and we enjoyed every minute. We would love to go back soon!

We recently had a fantastic experience at Ivory Wilderness. We were lucky to experience both Craig and Warren as our guides during our 4 night stay. Both of them were passionate, knowledgeable and extremely interesting guides. Sharing their knowledge of the bush and creatures within it. The camp itself is small and intimate so we always felt like individuals and were well looked after by Prudence, Andrew and the rest of the staff.The game drives were amazing including an incredible wild dog pack sighting where we spent over 30 minutes alone with 16 dogs who were playing in and around a small pond. We also had amazing lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe and many other animal sightings.We took an hour helicopter tour as an extra with Jerry as our pilot. This is an amazing extra you should try to add to your stay. What a pilot!The walks we did in the bush were also very interesting and a great addition to the usual game drives you experience on safari. Finally another great thing about this safari was how few vehicles there were at each animal sighting. The guides from the camps in the locality are very respectful of the animals so they restrict each sighting to a maximum of 2 vehicles whilst sharing time with the animals with others on a one vehicle in one out basis.Overall we highly recommend Ivory Wilderness for those seeking an authentic safari experience.
