South Bakels

Their website says they close at 4:30pm. Then I got there at 1:45 they said they are closed already, then told us to wait for Rony, 30minutes later he came to tell us that they only allow cars and a coloured man was allowed in. I had to go back because I don't have a car. This needs to go to ombudsman.

Receptionist was very unfriendly and unhelpful.When i walked in,the people who wer supposed to help me were just looking at me like a fool.I am a bit greatful though for her behavior, i left and found smaller shops that had the same products but were cheaper than South bakels.

Great products but horrible customer service. The lady in the sales off is beyond rude. Had to wait over an hour for 1 item when there were no other customers.Besides the wait, the system sucks - go up to sales office and place order. Then you are sent down to wait in your car for over an hour. Once the product comes you are required to go back up to sales office to do payment... i mean really , are their jobs to inconvenience people?We who buy are obviously buying for our business, we have other stores to go to as well on the day to collect stock, and then an hour gets wasted at bakels

Love the products and the prices but the customer service is totally rubbish I waited for about 2 hours just for 1 product and it wasn't even busy the workers were just walking up and down as if they're busy with something...the customer should be top priority because with our money they feed their families the services is extremely bad!!!!! I would rate it 0 if I could.

Great products, below average customer care. Had to drive out 26km to fetch my order because their driver delivered my order to another similar named business. Not once but twice.

Quality products if you have baking needs South Bakels has it.

I use to love shopping here for my business. However I find it so hard to understand how smaller stores can be cheaper than South Bakels. It sounds impossible however one store was almost a R100 cheaper than them on a single item.

After numerous failed attempts to reach you via landline and customer care line, we were left with no choice as to reach out via email.When I enquired about our order, which was the first time this year I was able to get hold of you, I was told our order was dispatched for delivery the next day.No confirmation was received. The assistant that I spoke with, said that she was told to tell us that the order has been dispatched,(which we have not received.) should we call to enquire. She was also unable to explain why our emails went unanswered.We find the poor customer service and lack of communication extremely frustrating.We even tried ordering bigger quantities in an attempt to avoid having to go through frustration on a monthly basis.This unprofessional treatment we are receiving from BAKELS is a recurring event and there has been no effort in rectifying the problem.

I know South Bakels from time to time donates bread to the under privileged in Westbury . It also depends who controls those projects they can actually do more. Thanks for being thoughtful ❤️. I see quit a number of negative feedback this is not good for the business please work on the remarks in order too have a good outcome of your services you provide.
