Clean and friendly, great visit.

The new 7km trail is superb. The trails winds through the forest - magnificent tree canopy high above - before heading up the hill. This is quite a change in vegetation and once up the hill you get great views of the Hoekwil farms. There is a picnic table which is worth a short stop just to look and enjoy. The downhill is easy on the legs and lovely running. Then back into the forest for the final section to the endThe trail has many nice elements from passing the Big Tree on the out and return route, some small bridges, and circles of wood cut from fallen trees that have been like stepping stones. I saw a good number of fungi species - there is sure to be fungi around most of the time being in the rich, moist forest. There are toilets at the start/finish and also picnic tables and braai facilities. It is great that there is a longer trail to complement the existing 2km route. Well done to everyone involved.

Very peaceful forest walk with Soothing nature sounds.

The walk is beautiful and an easy one, the tree magnificent.I was a little worried about the baboon bull in the parking lot... but he mostly seemed to strut and perch and look at us.

Experience the forest and then this massive yellow wood tree that is 800+years old. Totally unthinkable. How many storms and severe weather conditions he must have withstand. The area is kept neat without disturbing the natural beauty of the forest. Thanks.

It is breathtakingly beautiful, the bit that we could see. It was very disappointing to make the drive out there, arriving at about 15:45, only to be told we can't walk the 2km trail because they close at 16:00. The website shows the closing time is 18:00.
