Visited this restaurant believing it was Salmon Bar, the best error ever. Concise but delcious menu, something for all tastes. Great friendly service and hospitable owners. Our meal was good quality, beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. I highly recommend a visit.

This is the most amazing restaurant in Franschhoek. Outstanding service and staff. Our waitress was amazing and so sweet and so funny. We truly loved our two breakfasts at Smitten. The white bread is so delicious and the croissants are to die for. I recommend the almond croissant. This was such a nice, clean, friendly and charming place. I absolutely loved it and I recommend it for breakfast over any restaurant in Franschhoek. 10 / 10

This is an elegant yet down to earth restuarant, with lovely interior details to discover. Their service is excellent and warm and their food delicious. A personal favourite was the Gnocchi. My cinnamon bun was unforetunately slightly stale. I enjoyed an engaging and sincere conversation with the charismatic and welcoming owner. Overall Smitten is certainly worth a visit.

I’ve been wanting to visit since they opened and I finally had the chance to visit yesterday.Naturally, I was very excited to try the food since there are so many great reviews and the pictures always looked delicious.We loved the setup of the cafe and the service was very friendly, albeit slow, considering we were one of four tables at the time.We ordered coffees (all different types but all delicious) and lunch: 1 glazed chicken salad and 2 Caesar salads, both with extra GRILLED prawns (4). As you will note, there are some very pale, steamed prawn tails (probably left over from prawn cocktail, which states on the menu that they use STEAMED prawn tails. They were very bland and had not been NEAR a grill. I mentioned this to the waitress and she took the plates, only to return with what you see below.We proceeded to eat our salads, only to find that most of the lettuce were drenched in salad dressing.The desserts were enjoyable.

What a lovely experience we had for lunch. Great heartwarming food in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and the owners, Chris and Imraan, are super people. Will most definitely be back. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurant experiences that I've ever had - from the impeccable food, teas, and service, to the hosts ensuring each detail was taken care of, it was almost perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future and will be making a point to visit when in Franschhoek.

Food was great but took more than 45 minutes to come. Ordered more nan bread which never came. Noticed other patrons received food before us but they had come after us. We enjoyed our chats and were too hungry decided to ignore but we should have walked out.

This is one classy café! From the decór to the music and food.Popped in for a Sunday breakfast and was warmly accommodated despite the café being so busy already. The staff were friendly and efficient with our order. And the breakfast was fresh. Until we visit again!
