The Midlands finally has its own Babylonstoren, complete with glorious gardens (and a little maze!), contemporary architecture and decor and delicious food. It's a grown-up destination, which is also ideal for children to run about and explore outside (please supervise for open water). I nearly booked for every Sunday of 2022. Visit as soon as you can.

Fable is an absolute treat to visit!The walk through their gardens is breathtaking and the photos I took barely do them justice.Our meals at the Fable Eatery perfectly complimented our experience in the gardens. The food was delicious and served timeously by friendly and obliging staff.Their mushroom and poached eggs on sourdough bread was an absolute winner for me!

From the moment you step out of the car till the moment you sit down at your table you experience the peace of the place. The gardens are so pretty, lovely sunny spots to sit and just soak it all in. The staff are attentive, they speak softly and calmly - a huge fire was blazing away in the restaurant making one feel relaxed and warm.The food was delicious and more than enough for one (I had to take a doggy bag), tasteful and great attention to detail. The breakfast I had was a mix of scrambled egg, parmesan, delicious mushrooms, pesto and the most tasty tomatoes all served on sour dough toast. My coffee was a Salted Caramel Latte with the best biscotti ever, so many wonderful flavours!I will be back for the lemon curd cheese cake and the chocolate covered crunchies. The staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable, thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Beautiful grounds and we had lovely food and service however our morning there was somewhat marred by an extremely long wait.We waited close to 2 hours between ordering and receiving our food and while we were enjoying the atmosphere we felt like more could have been done to help the wait.Overall it was a good experience but a little disappointing that we had such a long wait.

Stumbles upon this fairly new establishment by chance. Had already had lunch but checked out the menu at the restaurant and certainly will be back to try it out. Ample free parking available onsite.Lovely gardens with facilities for kids to play. There is a little maze within the garden. Be sure to walk up to the top and take in the break taking views of the little dam.

First time there, but a real discovery. Food is v.good. Atmosphere ,inside or out, excellent. Pleasant service. Beautiful garden area to amble around. Well worth a visit .

Location▪︎▪︎ Setting is unique in that one feels as if you are having a meal at a friend's modern, stylish and quality-filled country abode; which allows for the retention of a 'homely' and secure feeling, both physically and emotionally. ***Phenomenal*** we recently had lunch at Fable to celebrate a friends 30th birthday. I cannot recommend this restaurant more! The waiters were beyond helpful and accommodating of our every need! The food was exceptional and every detail was perfected! For a day out in the midlands Fable is certainly a restaurant you want to stop at! Can’t wait to come back! Don’t forget to make a booking as it is very popular and you want to ensure you get a table! Thank you to Beth and her team for making our day one to remember!

It’s an unexpected paradise that seems to appear out of nowhere. Spacious and modern, open plan design that allows you to enjoy the lush garden and landscape from inside the restaurant. The food was super tasty and the waiters were friendly and lovely. Service is a bit slow, but otherwise worth the stop.

Very good indeed, the food was excellent and the gardens really top notch. Our children enjoyed the slide and mini maze as well as splashing through the man made streams. We will certainly visit again. NOT SURE ABOUT ALL CAPITALS IN THE TITLE not best SEO - I have just noticed the desktop version shows properly in lower case, it's just mobile that's shouty. I know this is a very nerdy thing to moan about!
