ADT Pietermaritzburg

Armed response is excellent. However, I needed to get a new installation done. I called this number for adt pmb and I have been dealing with a lady by the name of Shanti" only. When I followed up she was extremely rude and asked me who told me to call her. Seriously??? Is this not the number for adt?? I was not told to call anyone else after all she was the only person I was corresponding with. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. I did not even get a response after I sent an email. I would not want to deal with her again. However still impressed with armed response"

Absolutely dread dealing with the poor admin and installation team. Nothing is done correctly with one call and constant follow ups are required otherwise nothing gets done..armed response is good and probably the only reason I am still a customer. ALSO the Installation team made side remarks about following standard covid precaution protocols at my elderly parents house.

Terrible response time. The Operations manager said he wasn't responsible for load shedding when contacted about the poor response time. Going to change my security company ASAP. You would be placing your life and that of your family at risk if you use them.

Since I have moved I have requested that my contract be cancelled via email as instructed on the website. I received a generic response that I would be contacted but about a week later I haven't.Meanwhile with loadshedding and 19 hours without power the battery is causing problems. Each day I receive an SMS to request I contact support to have the alarm tested. I responded to one that I had requested my contact be cancelled but I continued to receive the daily SMS that it needs to be tested

Terrible service! Don't reply to emails and when they do total lack of understanding. Customer service is awful! Will never recommend.

Been with Adt for many years. Generally excellent service with quick response time and very good communication...Very helpful and understanding.... UNTIL.... we had the misfortune of finding out that the radio receiver module installed on our gate motor (that we PAID adt for) was not functioning and the armed response officers weren't gaining access to our property. And this is where things went south....complaint after complaint fell on deaf ears and we requested a technician to come out more than 5 times. It's been 6 months and they still coming"!!The MOST frustrating thing was dealing with a lady that works in the Pietermaritzburg office that sees to customer queries. She is utterly rude and abrupt and has zero technical knowledge of alarm systems and at one point we almost swore she owns the company. Her people skills are deplorable. Very poor response. Had a break in and was able to drive home from work and got to a home with burglars still in it, but no sign of ADT. ADT had called saying the alarm went off, we asked them to send armed response, but they left us totally vulnerable when we needed them. When we realized our house was being robbed we called them again and got through to a totally untrained person who put us on hold and said they needed to call their supervisor when we asked that they send armed response.Half an hour after we got home the pathetic armed response showed up. Totally unacceptable. Police told us there were 5 break ins in the area in the past week, all of whom were houses with ADT security. Makes you wonder... Would not recommend at all.

I repeat, stay far away from this awful company, Its a mismanaged operation.After cancelling, i was told a final statement & disconnection notice would be forwarded, almost a year later, no one could give us the information from their head office.It was now handed to a car rental debt collection agency who emailed a statement and was paid immediately.We now are told, were we not to pay ADT but pay the agency.What an undue process for a business.

Absolutely pathetic service from adt response time is absolutely poor always no vehicles available.they actually alocate one vehicle for several areas will definatley be looking at another service provider

Since I joined ADT Pietermaritzburg the service has been slow. I literally have to follow up on services I have requested because they have not bothered to update me.I paid for surveillance cameras and I informed them that they are urgent and I was told my request would be prioritised - nothing.I paid for passives on my main door and bedroom window. I was told it would be done the following week - nothing.The service has been horrible so far and I certainly have lost interest. I was only continuing with the service because the previous owner of the house was using ADT and did not want the inconvenience of changing.Well you are inconveniencing me anyway
