Beautiful and peaceful place situated along the Limpopo River.

Great value accommodation with gorgeous Limpopo River views, very close to the Botswana border. Very peaceful atmosphere. It was delightful to see a fish eagle, kingfishers, various other water birds, as well as a legavaan. Unit had a kitchen equipped with most the basics (but bring your own coffee gear) and there are shared braai facilities and open air lounge.

We arrived late after a long trip from Colesberg and were received with smiles and everything ready. Clean and comfy with beautiful views and wonderful facilities. We could not have asked for a better place to stop over before our early morning departure to Maartinsdrift. Certainly a place to stay for longer if you have the time.

The best quiet place next to the Limpopo river you can get. Excellent service. Absolutely beautiful.

Great stop over en route to Botswana. Spotless rooms. Make sure you take everything you need as there is nothing there.

I stayed here while on a bike trip through Southern part of Africa (Botswana, Malawi, Zambia & Moz). What a surprise on this amazing lodge. Friendly staff, neat clean rooms, comfortable. Everything I did not expect. they will definitely se me again.

We stayed at Klippan River Lodge on our way from South Africa to Botswana in Dec 2021. The lodge is located 500m from the Groblersbrug/Martin's Drift border post between South Africa and Botswana.It is a little oasis of peace and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of the border post. The property is located within a boomed and secured area monitored by security guards. From the moment you enter the property, you feel like you are in a safari lodge far away from civilization. All you hear are birds and the flowing Limpopo river.Accommodation is either in small airconed units each with their own spacious bathrooms, TV and bar fridge (with honest bar) or in self contained houses. We stayed in the small units and were able to make use of a fully equipped kitchen or the communal braai/barbeque area. The place was spotless and the staff were extremely helpful. There was ample secure parking under the shade of big trees.If you have young children, this may not be suitable accommodation as there is a lot of open water around and it is not fenced off.Take note that at the time of us staying at Klippan River Lodge, the accommodation was all self catering and no meals were offered by the Lodge.We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend this place to stay.
