Quaint shop in the small town of Hofmeyer. There's a life-size model in the bathroom, dressed in a old fashioned wedding dress, watching your every move! Must try the homemade roosterkoek, filled with either cheese or jam, or both. The karoo pies are also scrumptious - definitely not a garage pie"!"

Convenient stop between Gariep and Cradock. Some interesting historical items, but can be a bit creepy. Food OK but a bit pricey. R2.50 to use the toilet. I personally have an issue paying to use a toilet when I am a paying customer ( no problem paying if I'm not buying anything else).

It was a huge disappointment.. Food wasn't really fresh, home made pies and the kudu steak in the burger were dry and hard to chew. The cheese tasted stale as if hadn't been used for a while.

The food was atrocious... meat pie was off... toilets on a pay system.. smallest muffin i have ever seen.. please avoid.. if you can..

Definitely a stop off to relax and enjoy their coffee and a variety of eats. Sit outside on the verandah or inside their interesting curio area which seems to support home industries. Service is good.

Padstal. Need a clean bathroom at R2.50. I paid gladly. Walked through the Hofmeyer museum with lost of old interesting things.There is coffee and food, we did not use it. Lots of gifts to buy and mini shop.

Love love love!!! In the middle of nowhere and the nearest big town more than 1 hour away!!! Best pies ever!!!! And so many orher1 delicacies!! Definitely worth a visit!!
