Not far from main road and gravel condition was not bad. Room was large and neat. stunning views over the balcony.

We chose Tamodi Lodge as our first stop for our honeymoon, and oh boy, we were blown away!We stayed in Room 7, which has the most incredible view from anywhere within the room. The room is tastefully decorated, clean and the splash pool was definitely a highlight.Chelsea & Owen also went the extra mile to accommodate us when we had to change our reservation dates due to the Covid- 19 pandemic.We LOVED every second of our amazing stay here.We’ll definitely be back!On a side note, it’s also super easy to find the lodge & the short gravel road to the lodge is very accessible.

I don’t thing you can get much better than this. We stayed here by accident, caught out by bad weather. It was so good we changed our itinerary to stay for an extra two nights. The views are breathtaking, and no photo will do it justice. The huge rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. We had a private plunge pool, indoor and outdoor shower, and wrap around balcony to the fabulous views. Breakfast was wonderful and Lynne and Owen are exceptional hosts. Be sure to check out Owen’s wine cellar! Would come back to SA just to visit this place again. Truly a paradise.

We were a couple we spent a couple nights in this lovely hidden gem we totally enjoyed it, Chelsea and Owen were really wonderful and totally helpful.I recommend to visit this placeand I would totally visit it again.

I have just returned home after a six week visit to South Africa.We visited many wonderful places but our visit to Tamodi Lodge was one of our highlights. It is truly magical. The setting is out of this world. Our hosts, Owen and Lynne could not have been more welcoming. Linda, who looked after our every whim at breakfast, was exceptional. Yes, we do hope to return to Tamodi and would recommend it in a heartbeat.Thank you Owen and Lynne.

We will definitely be back !During our honeymoon we decided to spend three nights at one of the Lux honey moon suites in Tamodi Lodge. Only a few min highway drive away from downtown Plattenberg, we had one of our best experiences. The room is huge, the view just stunning (seeing the sun rise above the mountains every morning was magical) and your privacy wqs ensured during all the stay. Chelsea was reachable anytime through WhatsApp if we needed anything. Her wine recommandations were always good. The fire place makes the room so cosy and romantic. We even used the little un-heated pool on the balcony since the sun was getting really hot during the day !The fridge was filled with a lot of very good food to make our own breakfast which we loved since we could just enjoy being lazy in the room in the morning. If we were running out of anything Chelsea would bring what we need and leave it in the lobby outside of the room to ensure not disturbing us. How thoughtful !Did I forget to mention how comfy the bed was and how clean the place is maintained ?Definitely a place to experience : luxury, calm, amazing view, professionalism, kindness, good wine… do not miss it if you go to Plattenberg Bay !

I recently stayed here and enjoyed it so much that I returned a few weeks later for another stay. Breathtaking views. Well appointed rooms with stunning features. Owen, Chelsea, Sheila and Nandi all went out of their way to make our visits incredible, without compromising privacy. There are many activities in the area, but you will also want to ensure that you reserve time to simply enjoy the accommodation. Highly recommended.
