I was expecting so much more from this nice looking and inviting restaurant. We went for a Sunday brunch, and the food was lovely, but the service and the staff was something else. Terrible is not even the correct word to describe it.We waited +-45min for our food, drinks I can’t even remember how long.There were two waiters who wasn’t capable to handle the amount of people, so the manager jumped in and helped, but that did not make the situation better. Still waited a very long time to be helped, for drinks and food.Don’t recommend for big groups or family brunches.

Service is quite slow. My milkshake’s consistency was very runny but the P&B flavor is great. My burger bun was also a bit smashed compared to other people who ordered the same item at a different table. (Which made me order it in the first place) Our tempura prawns was raw and asked the kitchen to cook them again, when we got it back some were swopped out for fish instead. When we ordered desert, there was no ice cream available on any desert. After 2 hours the braided chairs are really uncomfortable. There is room for improvement.

Really good experience at what looks like a reasonably new establishment. Great setting for a roadside restaurant but the deck is beautiful and the pool adds something special. Food was really good. Fantastic poke bowl and the sushi was the best we had in Ballito. Amazing coffee. Great service and atmosphere. Thanks.

We have been a few times and had a good experience. The last 2 times, in the last 7 days. The service was terrible. The supposed restaurant manager, red headed guy, has no clue. We sat for 15 minutes without being asked if we would like something, and that was right infront of him.

Understaffed, the place looks fantastic from the outside but the service is terrible. Went for breakfast the waiter said that they are only two working.The supposed owner (a guy) is only serving his own friends not asking how the service is, btw terrible!!We waited 15min for our drinks and an extra 20min before someone came to assist with food, then we waited another 30 min for our food.The lady (the manager or something) only came to ask us once if we have been assisted further she only helped 2 othe customers while the two waiters had to do everything.So disappointing!!

Nice place, but room for improvement.Seats are uncomfortable, majority of their seats are high chairs with no proper leg support. Not comfortable when sitting for a while (like having a meal).We had breakfast, food was tasty and well presented. Was disappointed to be told after placing the order that they do not have the bread options as stated on the menu.Ordered an omelette with cheese, received an omelette filled with mushrooms, eventhough I did not order mushrooms and don't like the taste of mushrooms (or anything it touches) at all. They were willing to make me another, but since the first order took a long time I did not want to wait even longer. Also had to query about the amount of cheese received, it covered a small portion of the one corner of the omelette, could barely make out that cheese was placed on the meal.Prices on bill was also different to the prices on some of the menus. Some of the menus have modified prices written in pen, but the other menus do not have. The price increase we're only a few rand so did not query it, but having menus with different prices and then charging customers based on the increased prices is bad business practices.Ballito has a number of great restaurants and Skippies needs to improve to compete with them.
