Propshaft Engineering

Took my bakkie in because it made a metalic noise and steering wheel was vibrating. Assumed it could be the propshaft so I took it in to Propshaft Engineering to have a look. I was told my Universal joints were seized and left the bakkie there for almost 3 days. When I drove the bakkie the noise was still there. I later identified the issue was the left front wheel bearing which I replaced and the noise is now gone. As the expert I expect you to give me solid advice and if you know my propshaft has no issue then I expect you to tell me that. I will glady pay an inspection fee, but instead you tell me my universal joint on my propshaft is seized and the whole propshaft needs replacing to make money. Sorry that is dishonest business practices and actually amounts to fraud and this shop should be investigated. Very disappointed. Had my propshaft replaced for absolute no reason.

I had my car's propshaft reconditioned. The car had a terrible drivetrain vibration when I collected it afterwards, different and worse than before. Colin, the owner was not accommodating at all to fix the problem or find the source. He would not even take my car for a test drive - just said he's too busy. He then tried to convince me that there was something else wrong with my car. After a lengthy argument Colin agreed that he did will only remove, check and refit the propshaft if I pay him again - which I was not willing to entertain. Months later after spending money unnecessarily on new tyres, suspension components, ect. trying to resolve the issue, I ended up taking the car to BMW and had the propshaft replaced with a new one from factory. Problem solved!

Where do I start. The reception by the management and staff are so warm. One feels so down because either your vehicle that's giving you issues but Colin and his team make you feel so comfortable. Everything is explained to you and you're given reasonable and definite timelines. There is a family vibe about this place. Now it feels like I'm driving a vehicle that was repaired by the crew of The Fast and The Furious.

Colin the owner is always extremely helpful and professional. Best in the business. Can't go wrong.
