Osaka Sushi

Sushi takeaway value for money is pretty good here.Quality is okay, portions and ratio size is okay too. They aren’t always consistent but still decent tasting.I’d return for takeaways only and not for a sit down as the shop space is very small.

Convenient to place an order for a platter before shopping at the super market. They will also take order over the phone. Amazing value. Ideal for take-outs - they have tables but never seen anyone eating in.

Always yummy. My go to place for the last 6 years. Always fresh and delicious. The food is absolutely amazing and the owner is just as great. Best place for authentic sushi in Sea Point.

Very good sushi for takeaway, 2 small tables but top quality food

2nd time here maki salmon is deliciousMy only pointer for future customers is that if you want a juicy maki or any sushi I would advise soaking the whole piece in soya sauce as the rice used is very compact and sticky and thus the soya cannot run through the sushi. I don’t know the type of rice used but it’s not the Japanese one or the Indian or South African one but probably a the of Chinese rice.However good stuff all round but pleasePlease install a pair of window drapes as you have to eat while in full view of shoppers.Will be adding things as I eat more there:R99 platter:6 salmon maki4 rainbow4 California4 salmon maki with mayo and caviarOverall view; nice sushi, value for money, the soya sauce they give is a bit little(for takeaways).Good tip is to actually pierce the maki with a chopstick and then dunk it in the soya sauce. Rice is very thick and if you don’t do this it will end up tasting really dry

Worst sushi I’ve ever had. Avo was over ripe. Average quality salmon, really terrible ginger and wasabi. Very disappointing considering the ratings on Mr D.
