Modderfontein Bird and Sculpture Park
Great park to go and spend a peaceful time with friends and family. Lots of shades and sunny areas too with a beautiful lake by the side. There’s also a play area for the kids. Toilet available and very clean too. Entrance fee of R10 per person required but only card payments.

Awesome spot for a weekend-picnic by the lake - the park / sanctuary is really well looked after and so worth the R15-00 0 per person entrance-fee.There is ample safe parking available.I saw quite a few folks walking their dogs and many a kid playing in the sand-pit and playground - really really cool.If you're not packing a picnic-basket then there is a small shopping centre ( Flamingo Mall ) opposite the road where you can have a sit-down meal or get some take-aways.Alcohol is not allowed in the park but one can completely understand that as it is apublic place / venue.

Beautiful and clean. They have a fenced off doggy area or you can walk on the other side with your dog leashed. Really well taken care off

Took my daughter and her bf for a picnic when they arrived from Cape Town to visit me for a few days. The place is clean and tranquil. Lots of benches and tables available. Also you can put down blankets on the lawn if you want. Sculptures are beautiful and well positioned. Even though the restrooms were clean and in working order they seemed inadequate when the place is full.

Well kept, quiet and neat little park. A small entrance fee is charged to use the park. Shady picnic spots and view of the water. Some park equipment for the kiddos also. Enjoyed our day out.

We've been looking for a decent, smallish park which is near our home. We found this one. This park is so well kept, reasonable size, family friendly and just what we needed. Only 8min from home, we are sorted.
