Ovaflo Resort

Very nice and peaceful place, love how well maintained it is. Lovely spots to chill as a family and even fish and camp too. Would definitely recommend that you try it out. Theres also a play area for kids so they will have fun

When we arrived in wondered what we had let ourselves in for. Once we settled it was really a stunning place. We were in our caravan, was not impressed with the riverside cottage that friends stayed in, it had beds and that was that. The ablutions , although they looked a bit unusual, worked well, the showers were hot and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is a shop to get emergency goodies but we did not go in.

Lovely peaceful setting. Great way to get away from the city and also do fishing.

Very nice place which is not over crowded and very cheap to get in. Thoroughly enjoyed our day there

Nice place braai stands available. Relaxing peaceful environment

The owner is completely rude and had no way of addressing customers . We visited for the first time today and will never go back . We mistakenly braai'd on the floor not knowing we had to have a stand for the braai, she said we should have used the designated braai areas but all of which was in the sun. She came pass and spoke so rudely to us yet we apologised and said it was our first time but she continued to speak to us as if we were beneath her understanding, she waited whilst my dad picked up a hot braai to put on a dirt bin until she left . That was our first 15 minutes there, ruined the entire mood for the day .We never felt welcomed and I wouldn't recommend this resort""

It is a very safe and quiet place if you need to get away from a busy place, a lot of people came to just relax not even fishing, just a picnic or just to come and sit and look at river bird life, , Things I can suggest is for fishers to let the owner know if there is line caught in a tree so we can take it out for safety of animals. Also I suggested there is a tuck shop, but do not always have what you expect them to have like ice, oil, fresh tomatoes, onions or that the shop might be closed for special reasons. So rather just bring what you need anyway. also if you want to sleep over, its cheap and the owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a 2/3 bed to rent for overnight, available outside the resort, just speak to the owners. I am staying here since December and could sort myself out in a good given and Blessed time, I hope that you the public will take the opportunity to go and see for yourself, and also to remember this reviews is been highly appreciated and free marketing for community and businesses! thanks, Thelma

A great environment and good fishing spot

Situated on the banks of the Umgeni River a short distance below the Albert Falls Dam. There are plenty of good fishing spots along the whole river frontage. They also have a large kiddies play park. The camping sites are level and most are electrified. The ablutions are very rustic but have plenty of hot water.
