We recently visited Spekboom at the start of our honeymoon. The staff surprised us with beautiful flowers and champagne on arrival. The house was very spacious with spectacular views. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was a great relaxing start to our honeymoon lazing in the jacuzzi

House: Spekboom, June 2022In the heart of winter and Loadshedding Stage 6 - it was lovely. There are quaint little hidden hiking trails, an odd cape mongoose and loads and loads of silence. The house was very clean, offers wi-fi at reasonable speeds, has Netflix and DSTV.There's ample space and the view is wonderful. The little Jacuzzi is scorching hot and the small pool is reasonable to cool off (though - half full). The showers are awesome and beds very very comfy.I'd recommend buying items in Piketberg - The little Citrusdal town has sadly declined since I last saw it 20 years ago.I'd definitely return - and it'd be Amazing if they have a dishwasher and laundry machine (I understand it's a brand new house set up).Loved it and very satisfied.

We wanted a peaceful, relaxing break away from city life and that’s what we got!!The cottages are just perfect - where we felt we needed assistance - we were immediately helped and nothing was too much trouble. It was extremely hot so the aircons, plunge pool and jacuzzi were amazing. Just add the ladder so you can get out will be great. We even left a coffee plunger behind that we brought through (but there is a coffee plunger) and they safely delivered it to a friend in Citrusdal for us.All in all an amazing breakaway. Your staff are amazing. Well done.

This was my very first experience at Wolfkop Nature Reserve, what can I say besides WOW!The Harpuis cottage really blew me away in terms of comfort, the home-away-from-home feeling, spacious, a huge veranda with couches, tables and chairs with a big welcoming fireplace and pizza oven! The thatch roof design and feel of the place really sets the tempo and mood of vaccation on a truly comfortable yet exciting buzz. High ceilings, very cool inside the cottage given that its blazing hot outside on a summer day and the place had this lovely spicy scent coming from the air humidifier. It has an ice maker behind an island style inside bar with a very spacious open plan kitchen and a pantry next to it.There is a helpful gentleman by the name of Jethro if you have any minor issues needing attention or if youd like to buy some wood for the fireplace without needing to leave the cottage.Definitely one for the books!I have experienced the Spekboom cottage as well so check out my review about that cottage! Personally, my heart is with Harpuis, I will definitely make a return in the near future!

Best place ever . Your nearest neighbour is 800m away. Very private. You have your own pool and jacuzzi , which is included. We were caught in the floods of Citrusdal , but luckily we were high up in mountain. The management and staff were exceptional , as they went far beyond making our stay as comfortable as possible , especially when we were ' forced ' to stay longer, owing to the floods.

Such a stunning place for a weekend away ! In between the mountains, skies clear enough to see the Milky Way with all the stars . It's absolutely stunning!Would highly recommend

Booked a three night stay but there was no electricity during these nights. Really bad service in terms of compensation. After asking for it 3 times we got nothing back and had to pay full price. Too bad for a lovely location and house.

Was there for the weekend and it was awesome. The views was magnificent and accommodation was excellent. We really enjoyed a quiet peaceful time there.
