Abingdon is honestly one of our absolute favorite spots in the Midlands. My fiancé and I have been visiting regularly for many, many years and have watched with happy hearts how it has changed and grown over the years; how much love and hard work the family has put into it.The wines are incredible, the food mouthwatering, the family are great company, and the setting idealic!We know we will still be visiting for many, many years to come!

Lovely hosts, knowledgeable about their lovely wines. Beautifully presented food, and the Tapas offerings are delicious and generous. A thoroughly delightful experience, highly recommended!!

Stopped at Abington Wine Estate for their wine tasting. What a comfortable venue. Fire going and a warm atmosphere. The wine tasting comprises 5 wines - each very distinct. A great relaxing experience - although we didn’t eat, the restaurant was full so I’m sure it’s also popular. Felt more like visiting friends for a glass of wine.

Wow, where to begin?! From phoning ahead when we made our reservation, to our arrival and right up until we left, the hosts were so friendly and hospitable. Our waitress, Londi, was well informed about the different wines we tasted and she was also so helpful and efficient. They no longer offer wine tastings so we decided to order the large glasses" to share amongst ourselves and do our own mini wine tasting

What an amazing experience we had at Abingdon Wine Estate. Our intention was to attend a wine tasting session, but we 10min late. Thankfully we were kindly invited in by Jane for some delicious wine. The session was very interactive, enlightening and extremely divine, Ian was great!The hospitality was on another lever, and the food was so delicious, I wish we were able to stay long.Thank you for an amazing experience, I would highly recommend it to any wine and food enthusiast.

Hidden Gem in Howick ..truly Blessed to have been treated to this phenomenal experience ,Family owned and run with such a rich history of wine making ..Janes food is out of this world ....treated a few Clients to wine pairing and they absolutely raved about it .One of the finest establishments in South Africa that can definitely compete with the Worlds best

Pleasantly surprised that we have working vineyards and wineries in the KZN Midlands that produce top quality wines. Beautiful setting, quaint restaurant / tasting room.Staff are friendly. Service is good but could be better. We came in for a wine tasting whilst meandeing" through the Midlands and they were happy to accommodate us. Personal service at the wine tasting was lacking - I guess they were busy but I expected a bit of an intro to the wine estate and their wines. I got my wines intermittently - but no explanation. Left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth because I expected a tasting experience as one is normally accustomed to at a wine farms who want to showcase and sell you their wines.The cheese platter was great
