A great place to take a vacation. There is so much to do without having to leave the area.Beautifully kept gardens, heated pool, restaurant, fresh pancakes and breads.Staff are super efficient and very friendly.Camping look's great.Excellent place to take children.

An amazing stay .The staff went out of their way in everyway.Pleasant home from home accommodation.Great game drives and sunrise 's to sunsets. A truly wonderful place

Wow! What can I say? I've never been that impressed about a 'farm' place. We spent the weekend at the Guest house and it was a wow. The team (I didn't get their names) was absolutely amazing. I would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation.

This is our first visit to Sondela. A feeling of being in the bush yet only 90 minutes from home in Jo'burg.Over the Easter weekend its was kid friendly non-stop entertainment that gave the place a real vibe around the pool areas, with contrasting peace and quiet in the remote chalets.Awesome game drives and quite few activities in the camp that kept us busy for the week.We'll definitely be back.

Was difficult to find our room as you had to drive far and signage made us get lost a few times, amenities are at reception area and quiet far from rooms, the hot pool wasn't what we expected, they should have a service where you can request a shuttle service to take you back and forth to rooms as u can't go to the bar and enjoy your time then drive back, everything costs money but atleast bike rides should be free that's just a few things I've mentioned but overall it's quiet and peaceful.

I had an amazing time at Sondela. My accommodation was immaculate. The facilities were lovely, and I really enjoyed the spa.My only critique would be the game drives. I wouldn’t recommend as you would probably see more on your way to reception. The animals in the reserve we were told were skittish, yet we drove round in an uncomfortable, noisy tractor. Our guide, wasn’t very good at giving directions, and didn’t appear to know much about the animals herself, despite studying them for two years. We didn’t really see much of the animals as they would run away from the noise. You don’t learn about or see any animals, so definitely some improvement needed there.Otherwise my trip was spectacular and would highly recommend for a weekend trip.

We had an amazing time. The staff is very friendly and professional. So many activities to keep the whole family busy, perfect place to spend a worry free weekend.Will definitely be back.

It is definitely a great place in the bush, to relax. The resort facilities were very clean, neat and well-maintained. The shop was well-stocked and staff are friendly. However, we were very disappointed in the lack of provisions for load-shedding. We booked a luxury 8 sleeper lodge and filled it. Between us we only received 2 candles for the entire stay with 4-8 hours load shedding each day. This was not sufficient. It's 2023 and load shedding has been around for a while now! A rechargeable LED battery light, in each room, or some LED rechargeable light bulbs would seem like the bare minimum, maybe going as far as and inverter and solar panels would be luxury. You'd want to make a fire, in the dark, but there was no ax provided to chop the huge wood, supplied at the shop. There was only one small sharp knife for the entire unit, to prepare food. No bin outside for braai refuse (understandable if there are baboon problems) It seems our unit lacked essentials that could have made the holiday even more enjoyable!

It has been long since I have had such a great massage.Thw therapists were all spectacular and deserve a mention.I will go back.

Sadly the unit we stayed in was falling apart. I complained early on but no effort was made.We had roaches running around in the fridge, a useless microwave, door handles falling off etc. All in all a disappointing experience from Sondela, whom I might add, is quick try and charge you extra
