Love Books

This a gem of a bookshop run by people who care. Great food and a very careful selection of books not easily found elsewhere. If you are a serious reader this is for you.

A one of a kind bookstore. The store is cosy with its own way of displaying books. It oozes love and confidence. A truly neighborhood bookstore.It offers a curated bunch of books that feel different from those at mainstream bookstore chains so you are bound to find a treasure and probably want to linger longer. There is a door that leads into a neighbouring restaurant so a read over tea and breakfast calls. They didn't have the books I was looking for, which a friend had bought there. At least they had it on order. That's the only disappointment.A truly welcoming space.

The quirkiest best little independent bookshop in town! I love going there to browse and sit back in the comfy chairs while dipping into books. And I always find interesting and unusual books to buy. I've also been to memorable book launches there - and you can get a coffee from next door to browse with! The service is great with orders too. This really is my favourite bookshop

Independent bookstores are now rare treasures in the world. This one is especially good. Visit it and keep buying books so we don’t lose it to a digital-only future.

Carefully and lovingly curated, beautifully arranged (that said, I felt ok knocking over a book on a stand - twice. So not so beautifully arranged that if you're prone to clumsiness you feel uncomfortable).Lovely range of kids book, local and imported, a well chosen African and South African selection.Adjacent to a very pleasant seeming coffee shop (didn't eat but the person working there I chatted to was super friendly. We discussed whether combo shop is an actual thing). There are a bunch of other shops around so it makes for a nice window- homeware or gift -shopping experience. On a Saturday morning, it was just the right amount of busy (hurrah i am away from the computer and part of a society but not amidst crowds level of busy). My soul is soothed.

The most atmospheric indie bookskop in SA! Knowledgable staff and a range of very special books add to the experience.
