Had an incredible dining experience last night.Peter, the manager, was really on point with ensuring everything in the restaurant is up to very high standards! Really friendly.The food was amazing, some of the freshest Sushi I have had in a while and all our dishes were delicious!Thank you for amazing food and a great experience.

Hi there,A little hidden sushi place. With a nice vibe. We had the luxury of sitting at the big table. The food came up pretty quickly, and was tasty.Oh, I forgot to mention their set up, it’s really good. I think that attracted me the most. It was delicately done.Definitely should come, price is reasonable.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Franschoek, and what a treat it was to dine at Yama Sushi Emporium!The staff was friendly and efficient. The food did take a little while to come, they were busy, but may it was worth the wait.Hands down best tempora prawns ever! We had seconds, it was so good. The prawns were fresh, and the batter was light and crispy. Not oily at all. It came with this delicious sweet chilli sauce that complimented the prawns beautifully. The julian veggies on top had a sprinkle of sesame seeds to add some crunch and nuttiness.The duck dumplings were good but a little too gamey in taste for my personal liking. It did come with a delicious duck broth and cabbage and corn bits.The Yari platter with salmon sushi pieces was so fresh and beautifully presented.We got an outside seat under the stars, so I'm not sure if there was background music being played. That would be a great thing to add to the overall dining experience.Another suggestion would be to place the chopsticks on those little blocks for hygiene purposes.We can't wait to come back again for those tempora prawns. Keep up the excellent quality, we appreciate it!

The plan was to have dinner at Oku Asian Eatery next door however it was fully booked and we did not make a reservation.On arrival we were told we could be seated at Yama and eat off the same menu as Oku, which is what we did.We felt very welcomed and the staff were amazing.The food was perfect! Portion size great and I felt it was good value for money.Took the cheesecake home so not tried that yet but looking forward to it.Definitely worth a visit if in the area.Amazing from start to finish.Thank you to everyone there that looked after us.

I recently visited this restaurant in Franschhoek and was thoroughly impressed by the food and service. The dishes were bursting with flavor and the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. The waitstaff were attentive and always on hand to offer recommendations and make sure we had everything we needed.The only downside was that the prices were a bit on the high side. While I thought the food and service were definitely worth it, it might not be the most budget-friendly option for some.I did find that the portion sizes were a bit on the smaller side. While the dishes were definitely tasty, I left feeling like I could have eaten a bit more. So if you have a big appetite, you might want to keep this in mind when considering this restaurant. However, the quality of the food and the service more than made up for this minor issue.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious Asian cuisine in a lovely setting. Just be prepared to splurge a bit!

We walked in for my husbands 40th birthday after looking at options online and honestly this restaurant exceeded our every expectation. The food was exceptional. We were given complimentary drinks and treated to such personal and intentional service from the owner and his staff. Thank you for a stunning dinner moment. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting an excellent dining experience.

This place is so lovely! The food was really good. We shared sweet potato dumplings, aubergine bao buns and broccoli tempura, which were are delicious. For dessert we shared the cheesecake and chocolate mousse, both incredible!! We really enjoyed it! The staff was so sweet and kind and we felt really welcome. Definitely reccommend!

A great experience. I ordered sushi and some cooked meals. The presentation was amazing and we really enjoyed the flavours.
