BIG AL'S

I just had the most disgraceful and embarrassing experience at a fastfood place in my entire life.I asked for a toasted chicken mayo sub and the lady started shouting at me that it cannot be toasted and that it should be bread and not a sub as if she just snapped after a long day with a shop full of people. I have ordered this toasted freaken sub (which it CLEARLY SAYS ON THE MENU - sub, fresh or toasted) for years and never had someone tell me it doesn’t exist or treat me like this when wanting to spend money and ask for an item like a normal human would. I’ve ordered from this lady this exact same order many many many many many many many times, and never seen this. I ordered something small instead and walked out without taking it in order to get away from the embarrassment.You probably won’t care but we will never be stopping at this branch again.

We had an absolute terrible experience with Big Al's Castle Walk. I sent them a complaint over a week ago on e-mail regarding the bad service and still haven't received any feedback.On the 14th of April just before loadshedding was to commence we ordered at Big Al's telephonically. The cashier that answered the phoned asked me what time we would pick up and I advised in 20 mins. She said that would be in order. When my family arrived there 15 mins later their doors were closed upon standing in front of the doors, the ladies inside showed they were closed not even bothering to ask them after they knew theyu had an order waiting, just showed with their hands they are closed. Upon my family returning home I phoned them and asked if the order would be ready after loadhshedding the cashier advised me that our order was ready to collect I then said to her we were their but they refused to open, she said I must come again and knock. Upon collecting our order eventually the second time the order was not even complete, only 2 burgers instead of 3 as ordered (which was not advised to me the second time I called) and one of the burgers that was suppose to have bacon on didn't. All that was said was sorry the electricity was off before we could complete

Is the beef patty just beef ? Texture and taste tell me a different story...

Love the fries and onion rings a lot. My family is very happy when we drive away from Big Al's.

Twice now I had the unfortunate experience of a wrong order. Not much fun when you get home, looking forward to your dinner and it is not what you ordered and paid for. No use calling them,numbers don't work.

Absolutely disgusted with them and I have been buying here for years. Come in and order my food and the 3 ladies are no stop talking while they are cooking my food and on top of that the two ladies where not wearing their masks properly and the main girl cooking isn't even wearing hers at all. When I say somthing they tell me no they wearing it and only then did she put her mask back on after I said twice that she isn't wearing hers properly.

Big Al's is a fantastic takeaway burger place that exceeded my expectations in terms of the quality of food and service. One of the things that stood out to me was the option for Fish and chips, which I have to say was some of the best I've had in a long time. The food is delicious, the prices are fair, and the service is top-notch. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great burger or fish and chips. It's a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for a great meal at a reasonable price.

Can we change the name to small Al'sAnd very unfriendly service

Big Al’s is by far one of the best burger places around. They offer a massive variety of food items and probably the biggest burger available without paying an arm and leg for it.But... the service is nonexistent, poorly trained staff have told this customers, that they are out of stock; and could not make my order, more times than I care for. [it’s 5 times]Most recently I phoned in an order [to check availability] and arrived 20min later to find my order hadn’t even made it to the kitchen yet. They just forgot and my dissatisfaction with the situation was met with a blank stare.It’s a pity, I would be a die-hard fan and fanatical supporter, if the owners simply cared enough to make sure the customer got served by a trained, fast food, restaurant, representative and could sell the food they advocate as available.I won’t be going back.

Been clients of Big Als for many years. Great food but the service and attitude of the staff have declined terribly! It seems like they have a massive issue to just take your order. Very unfriendly and not in the mood to assist you!
