Absolutely terrible service, i wouldn't recommend this to establishment to anyone who appreciates and understands customer service.

It is with interesting how the customers that complains about your service is difficult and rude! (I think it's time you should look in the mirror) I'm sure you will say the same about me as you told me that I was a difficult and demanding customer that was putting unreasonable pressure on you when all I was asking for was a professionally made dress that was made with pride and care as your prices that you charge are definitely for a professional. I would definitely NOT recommend you to anyone. It took me 3 hours with a earbud and OMO Jik to remove the blue pen marks all over the dress and then me sewing the dress back together again. Mirriam's Alterations/Fashion/Dressmaker is definitely a waste of time and money and and experience I could definitely have done without! The photo's speak for themselves. :(

I am amazed by this woman, she works really hard and she is a one woman show. I sent in my dress for alterations and she was done within a week. The quality of the alterations is great and the dress fits perfectly. I see she has a couple of bad reviews on here so I would just like to add my positive feedback as my experience with her was great.

Most revolting service and terrible attitude. I was promised that a garment would be ready by 9am ahead of a wedding. When arriving to collect it (and already having paid) I was told that it was not ready. I then had to sit and wait while she did the alteration. When I complained that the service was poor, she closed the door in my face and swore at me.In reponse to your reply:I came in on Tuesday and not Thursday.Not once did you mention anything about being fully booked. I even called you before coming in to check whether you had availability and could have the item try by Saturday. You confirmed that you could, and I have this entire conversation on a recorded telephone line. You even offered to have the garment ready before Saturday when I needed it.There was one man in the shop on Tuesday and I waited for you to finish with him before you helped me.I never threw anything in your face.You were the only staff member there.I never said a single thing that was even remotely racist.Therefore every single sentence in your reply is completely inaccurate and untruthful and I could legally take you to court for the untruthful things that you have said about me. You also cannot accuse other people of being racist when they have not done anything at all that could possibly be interpreted as being racist. I suggest you remove this from your response before legal action is taken against you.On chatting to other people that work in Hyde Park Corner and looking at other online reviews they mentioned that they had had poor experiences with you as well, so clearly I am not the only one.If this is how you ‘put customers first’ then good luck to you!

Great service! A homely environment with heartwarming assistance. Alterations are done with perfection and professional touch.

She's very expensive . For the amounts charged one expects exceptional seamstress quality. Not there . She just sewsIn response to the owners reply ...I'm sorry you see it this way . I have travelled many streets in many parts of the world . I don't understand what is amazing about Hyde Park mall. I'm sure the rentals are high and as such you have pushed them to your customers. It does not mean however the cost of service provided is justified.

I needed a pair of suit trousers hemmed in a hurry. Mirriam's did it quickly, efficiently and beautifully. Worth every cent. I'd definitely have them as my regular tailor if I lived in Johannesburg.

Poor customer service. She doesn't greet you when you enter her store, gives you a blank stare like you are lost. Wouldn't recommend her service to anyone.In response to the owner's response below, let it be known that I did not get any service that day. She was ironing and the shop was empty. She looked at me and I asked for the price of a school jersey and she dismissively told me she was out of stock and resumed ironing. I then left her shop.
