Outstanding family restaurant on a beautiful farm just outside Witsand. Beautiful view. Excellent and friendly service. Choice of A la Carte or Buffet meals. We choose the buffet and found it to be the best home cooked Boerekos" you can't ask for better! Highly recommended!"

Arrived on this working farm with a grand building hosting Marsannes Restaurant - perched on the Breede Rivers bank - overlooking the river that flows into the Witsand’s Indian Ocean. Stunning east coast hospitality from manager and both owners! The food was incredible - tasty and well-priced. This family will return soon.

If I could give a 0 star I would.But I do believe in constructive criticism as I believe it's the only way businesses improve.Service1. We booked for 17:30 we got a call to say that they will be closing earlier 15:00 would we like to move our booking to earlier2. Upon arrival we waited to get a waiter to get drinks.3. We waited to place our food order.4. We were never tended to again for more drinks (I had to get up and order)5. Not once did anyone come and see if we are still happy , or would we like anything to drink.Not at any of these points were we told that there is a backlog in the kitchen.Our foodOur food took 2 hours to get to us. Once we received the food we were all dissapointed by our meals.I have never been so offended and disgusted by a meal.There was 0 flavor, it tasted like the sauce on the mussel pot and chicken /prawn curry was packet sauce. The chef did not even put salt into the food to give it any sort of flavour.This place is in an amazing spot and we expected so much more than what we recieved. I will definitely not be back if this is how they give service and serve food.

River Breeze is a decent restaurant with a fine selection on the menu. We had a meal there on two occasions during our holiday in Witsand. The sevice, large portions of food, atmosphere and scenery/view was absolutely stunning. I will reccommend them above all others in the area as we have tried them all.

A beautiful place desperately in need of a strong hand and lots of energy. Pre-set tables sport dusty wine glasses, greasy plates and dull cutlery. The decorations have not been cleaned in a year and the food is average at best. There was passion once but it is tired now.

Great tasting food at affordable prices with probably the best River views around.Don't expect too much in terms of service (you are on holiday after all) but can guarantee you the food and friendliness makes up for it
